The construction of a bath is the first thing that almost every owner of a country house takes when arranging a plot. Traditionally, the tree was used for its construction, but the variety of the construction market allows you to choose other materials that are no less suitable for such a building.

What is aerated concrete?
Aerated concrete is one of the types of cellular concrete. It consists of:
- cement;
- quartz sand;
- lime;
- gypsum;
- aluminum powder;
- water.
All these elements are mixed and then fed to the autoclave, where specific conditions for their foaming and solidification are created.
Aerated concrete blocks for a bath are not in vain popular. They have undeniable advantages:
- large size of products at a low enough weight;
- reasonable price;
- environmental friendliness of the material;
- fire safety;
- easy handling;
- low thermal conductivity;
- does not require a powerful support - a shallow basement;
- easy installation;
- durability.
When using gas blocks for construction, their shortcomings should be taken into account:
- ability to absorb moisture - it is necessary to carry out both internal waterproofing and priming of the external walls of the bath;
- cheap blocks often have poor geometry.
Preparing for operation
Choosing aerated concrete blocks
The cheaper the material, the worse its geometry. Choosing aerated concrete blocks, the price of which depends on the quality of the material, it is necessary to pay attention to such factors as:
- color - it should be homogeneous;
- form - products with smooth edges and geometrically regular lines are chosen;
- the same size of the blocks purchased;
- absence of chips and cracks on the products;
- method of storing the material - it must be packed in polyethylene film.
Tools and materials
In the construction of a bath of gas units you will need tools:
- electric drill;
- shtoborez;
- electrophoresis;
- hacksaw;
- rubber or wooden hammer;
- carts and buckets for glue;
- grater;
- level;
- marking tools.
Of course, you need to buy aerated concrete blocks in the amount calculated in the project, and purchase the following building materials:
- cement;
- sand;
- exclusive use glue.
Development of the sauna project
Before the beginning of any construction are determined with the layout of the room. Projects of baths from aerated concrete blocks are ordered from specialists, are found on the Internet or make up independently.
In any case, they should take into account all the nuances:
- availability of rest room, vestibule, total number of rooms, their location and size;
- supply of communications;
- type of furnace and method of its installation;
- foundation size;
- availability of pool;
- list of building materials and calculation of their quantity.
Base erection
For a bath from gas blocks form a columnar or ribbon foundation, but the latter option is safer and is used more often. Sequence of work:
- Substrate preparation - surface leveling.
- Carry out the markup according to the project of the bath.
- Formation of foundation pit depth 0.6-0.7 m and width 0.3 m.
- Laying the bottom of the trench layers of sand and gravel. Their height is 10-15 cm.
- Pouring of liquid concrete. The thickness of the layer is 10-15 cm.
- Installation of formwork made of wood, plywood, slate or OSB sheets. Checking it for verticality.
- If you plan to erect a reinforced foundation, then around the perimeter is assembled a frame of reinforcement of one diameter. The rods are connected by wire.
- Concrete is poured. For a small bath, there is enough foundation with a height of 75 cm.
- After a few days, after the concrete has completely hardened, its waterproofing is carried out. Most often, sheets of roofing material are used for this.
When forming a foundation, the presence of a furnace must be taken into account - a rigid base is also required for it.
Masonry of the baths of the bath
- With the help of the level the highest corner of the foundation is determined and the erection of the walls begins. The first row is laid on the solution. With its help, leveling of aerated concrete blocks is carried out horizontally. After the solution has dried, the surface is treated with a float and cleaned of dust.
- To ensure the horizontal, at the corners set the slats with divisions and pull the cord-pier - it will be equal to the next line of blocks.
- The second and subsequent rows are laid on special glue, which is bred according to the instructions on the packaging. For reliable adhesion, it is sufficient to apply the composition in a layer of 0.7 cm.
- Every fourth row of gas blocks must be reinforced. To do this, using a milling cutter, grooves are made around the entire perimeter at a distance of 0.6 cm from the outer edge of the material, which are filled with a glue mixture. They fit in the reinforcement. It must be completely recessed into the groove and covered with mortar.
- Masonry is carried out with a bandage in half the block. The glue mixture is applied to the surface using a carriage or ladle.
- To cut the block, use an electric saw or a hacksaw.
- For the device of stiffening belts and forming of jumpers above door and window apertures use U-blocks. The armature is installed in the product tray and filled with concrete. If the molding is carried out above the opening, temporary supports are first installed.
- The upper row is reinforced with a monolithic hardness belt. It is equipped with U-blocks or by laying a fixed Mauerlat. On the concrete belt, wire twists are provided, anchored by anchors - they will keep the truss system from displacement.
Gable roof of sauna
- A rafter system consisting of a rafter, a base and a crossbar is installed. It is made of edging boards 4x10 cm.
- First of all, triangles of the gable pediments are assembled.
- The crate is in progress. Depending on the material of the roof, it is made solid or the beams are placed at a distance of 0.5 to 1 meter.
- Floor attic is laid, in which holes are made for ventilation.
- The gable is sewn on.
- Waterproofing is laid on the crate, and the roof is covered with roofing material.
Finishing of baths from aerated concrete
The bath of aerated concrete blocks, user reviews about which are quite approving, still require special finishing:
- The internal surface of the walls and ceiling is covered with foil. This is done to seal and create a "thermos effect".Used as a self-adhesive, and conventional foil. In the first case, it overlaps, in the second - joints are sealed with aluminum tape.
- The crate is installed to create an air gap between the foil and the lining. This will increase the thermal insulation of the building.
- The walls and ceiling of the wood-treated baths are often used - they often use aspen and linden. The material from them is not very expensive, but is resistant to moisture and has good thermal conductivity. The tree will decorate the sauna and create a cozy atmosphere for rest.
Outside, the aerated concrete bath is lined with wooden lining, plastic panels or decorative plates. Sometimes it is covered with a brick, but it's pointless - it's easier to build the whole building out of it.
