Heat-resistant tile or a beautiful oven for many years

Why can not I use normal facing material?

Heat resistant tiles are an indispensable material for furnishing a stove, a chimney wall, a fireplace or an outdoor barbecue oven. Working with it allows you to use rough bricks that have already been in use, which will cost you much cheaper than buying new stones. Also with her help you can "rejuvenate" the appearance of old appliances and create a wide variety of designs.

Why is it necessary to use just such a tile? This is due to the fact that a simple tile can only be used at temperatures up to +80 degrees Celsius. Under the influence of higher temperatures, it begins to crack and lose its solidity. Therefore, having finished the fireplace or stove with such material, we can assume that the money for its purchase was thrown to the wind. The same applies to adhesives for finishing hot surfaces. Only heat-resistant glue is able to successfully withstand high temperatures and yet not lose its adhesive qualities.

Note! When choosing a heat-resistant tile, be sure to check with sellers certificates, because only quality material will last you for many years.

Heat-resistant tiles and their characteristics

As already mentioned above, heating devices must be finished only with a special tile, which is not afraid of high temperatures. Consider the reasons:

  • This material is not flammable, therefore absolutely fireproof;
  • Reliability. Tiles can safely transfer heat to 1300 degrees Celsius, while it does not crack, does not fade and does not lose its geometric shape;
  • It is also frost-resistant, which allows it to be used for furnaces that are located on the street;
  • Thanks to the covering of the fireplace or stove with this material, its heat transfer increases.

Note! When facing the stove lasts longer, but its efficiency increases.

In addition, this cladding material has a huge color and texture scale, so it is possible to decorate the heater in any conceived style. Also, the lining will make it easy to keep the appliance clean, since the tiles are very easy to clean. However, completely ideal materials do not exist.

There are drawbacks to this. He is only one, but quite serious - this is an order of magnitude higher than the price of a simple tile. With the exception of this disadvantage, for all other qualities such a tile is an ideal option for facing hot surfaces.

How to glue the finishing material?

Heat-resistant glue for tiles is an indispensable requirement for high-quality work, because no matter how good the facing material, it will be of little use if it lags behind due to bad glue. Qualitative heat-resistant adhesive for tiles should have the following characteristics:

  1. Heat resistance. The ability to safely carry a strong heating, while not rubbing;
  2. Water resistance. The glue should not only transfer high temperatures, but also calmly cope with high humidity. This is necessary for cladding stoves in bathhouses or on the street;
  3. No odor. This factor is important, since low-quality glue can produce an unpleasant odor when heated;
  4. Do not be volatile, that is, there is no need to ventilate the room;
  5. Frost resistance. This factor is important for finishing furnaces located on the street.

Note! When choosing glue, carefully study the manufacturer's instructions, so that it does not appear that this compound does not fit specifically for your case.
