What equipment is needed for production.

Most enterprises use the extrusion method. According to this technology, the following action plan is observed.

The filled pellets of polyethylene are fed into the hopper. Due to the high temperature, they gradually melt and then fall into the extrusion head, in which there is a special annular gap, with a given size. All the mass that passes through this head forms a preform, which is then placed in a vacuum bath. In it, the workpiece is calibrated due to the reduced pressure. Sometimes, high pressure is used as a calibration. Using this technology, the workpiece enters the hollow cylinder. Its internal diameter is equal to the outer diameter of the pipe. Due to high pressure, the supplied air stretches the workpiece and presses it against the cylinder walls.

Very important role is played by the cooling of the billet, therefore the production of this product necessarily includes several cooling baths. With their help, the pipe gradually cools. If it is cooled quickly, the product will lose quality.

In order to cut the HDPE pipe into the required dimensions, use a planetary saw. The length depends on the wishes of the customer and the diameter of the pipe. The finished product is labeled according to the requirements of regulatory documents.

In general, in the production of this product, human participation is minimal. The operator is only watching the process, since it is fully automated. The system monitors the quality, temperature regime, pressure, speed of mass flow through the die head. At the finish line, the finished product and its quality are inspected by responsible persons. Now, it's worth mentioning about a set of equipment, with the help of which the production organization is being implemented. The standard line consists of:

  • equipment, which manages and controls the production process of polyethylene pipes;
  • equipment designed for the constant supply of raw materials to the hopper;
  • extruder with nozzle( die head);
  • equipment that performs calibration:
  • device, which performs cooling of the workpiece;
  • pulling device;
  • marking tools;
  • equipment for ultrasonic testing.

How to properly store and transport HDPE pipes.

If you are going to store a pipe for a long time, do not remove it from the original packaging. However, in Russia not many companies provide it, therefore:

  • Store PND pipes in storage facilities. If this is not possible, put them on the previously cleaned and leveled cover and avoid direct sunlight;
  • When laying products in bulk, use ordinary wooden pads at a distance of 1 m from each other( no more).The coves are placed on pallets made of wood.
  • Do not move products by dragging.
  • When unloading from the machine, do not remove the pipes.

The process of loading HDPE pipes and their unloading can be done with the help of technology or independently. If you decide to use a mechanized method of unloading, install soft polymer slings or ordinary towels to avoid damaging the product.
