For work you will need:

  • very sharp knife;A pencil or chalk of

  • soap solution;
  • primer;
  • paint;
  • paint brush.

Step 1. Layout

Draw the image that we are about to cut out of the tire

Take the tire, clean it of dirt and lay flat on a flat surface. Around the metal disk with a pencil or chalk outline the cut line of the lateral part. The line can be flat, wavy, zigzag-like - as fantasy tells. If the cut is figured, all projections should have the same shape and size, otherwise the edging of the flowerpot will look sloppy.

Step 2. Cutting along the contour

Now, on the drawn line, you need to cut off the upper side of the tire. To facilitate the cutting process, the knife should be periodically moistened in soapy water. To cut out the shape contour, it is better to use an electric jigsaw, which also needs to be dipped into a soap solution.

Step 3. Unscrewing the tire

The tire is turned upside down, the foot hits the wheel disc, picks up a small piece of rubber on the cut and starts to turn the product. It takes a lot of physical effort, but the more the tire turns out, the easier it is.

Step 4. Cutting the

sections The pot is almost ready, it remains to give the perfect shape to the cuts and decorate it from the outside. Figured edging can be made in the form of sharp or rounded petals, fringes, triangles, using the same knife. After that, it is recommended to process the cuts with a grinder to make the edges perfectly smooth.

Step 5. Decorating the flower pot

Vase decoration

The outer surface of the flowerpot is dust-free, degreased and primed. When the rubber dries, you can start painting. Here there are a lot of options: you can make a single-colored, two-color, striped pot, draw on it ornaments or flowers, decorate the flowerpot in the form of a flower. Nitro-colors, oil and enamel, as well as automobile ones in cans, perfectly suit the coloring of rubber. The inner part of the fringing is also recommended to be painted, as it is easily visible from the side.

Step 6. Filling the flowerpot

The last step is to plant flowers

The last step is to plant the flowers

The finished vase is placed in a permanent place, a dense agglomerate is placed on the bottom, a layer of sand is poured for drainage and fill the tank with fertile soil. After that, you can plant flowers and admire the work of your hands.

Make vases of concrete with your own hands is also easy. For pouring, you use purchased plastic molds, as well as cardboard boxes, wicker baskets, old bowls, buckets or basins.

For work you will need:

  • cement and sand;
  • mixing mortar;
  • two forms of different sizes;
  • plastic tube with a diameter of 1.5-2 cm and a length of 20 cm;
  • knife;
  • trowel;
  • atomizer or brush;
  • vegetable oil;
  • water.

Two plastic bowls of different diameters are used as molds.

Step 1. Mixing the solution

2 parts of cement and 3 parts of pure sand are poured into the container, mixed and gradually poured in water. Thoroughly stir the solution, so that no lumps remain. To make the pot more decorative, you can add pigment pigment to the mortar. The finished mixture should be homogeneous and moderately dense.

Step 2. Preparation of the

mold. The larger bowl is coated with vegetable oil from the inside and the other on the outside. The plastic tube is cut into 4 pieces of 5 cm long.

Step 3. Pouring the solution

mold. At the bottom of the large bowl, a layer of a solution of 2-3 cm thick is poured, and then the tube pieces are inserted closer to the center of the container. When the solution is noticeably seized, a smaller bowl is placed in a larger container, on top of the tubes, and the space between the walls is filled with the remaining solution. To the bowl inside does not move when pouring, it puts a stone or a brick. The top of the solution is leveled with a trowel and leave the construction for a day.

mold. After a day, the inner container is carefully removed so as not to damage the edges of the future vase, the concrete is wetted with water and wrapped in a film. For a week, the vase should be periodically moistened and covered from direct sunlight. A week later, the container with concrete is opened, turned over, carefully knocked out of the mold.

If there are no suitable bowls for making a flowerpot, you can use two boxes of cardboard:

  • seams on both boxes are strengthened with the help of an adhesive tape;
  • in a smaller box cut out the bottom;
  • at the bottom of a large box pour a thin layer of clean sand;
  • pour part of the solution to a height of 2-3 cm;
  • from above place the box without the bottom;
  • the space between the walls of the boxes is filled with a solution;
  • is removed after 7 days, and the bottom of the pot is drilled for drainage.

In operation, you will need:

  • circular saw;
  • pencil;
  • drill;
  • chisel;
  • antiseptic mixture for wood.

Step 1. Treating the stump

The top of the stump is cut with a saw to get a clean smooth surface. The bark should remain in place, so the pot will look more natural. On the cut, a circle is marked, leaving about 7-8 cm from the edges. On the perimeter of the marking, drill holes to a depth of 10 cm, and then knock out the stump core with a chisel.

Step 3. Filling the flowerpot

Pot of Stones

Inside the homemade pot, fill the fertile soil, slightly compact it and leave it for a few days. During this time, the earth will settle a little more, so it will have to be poured. After pouring it is possible to plant flowers. To extend the life of such a flowerpot, it is recommended to fill the ground not with the stump itself, but with any suitable container that can be installed there.

  • sheet of thick plywood;
  • electric drill;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • circular saw;
  • primer or waste oil;
  • paint.

First, a circle is cut from the plywood in the diameter of the bottom of the barrel. The barrel itself is cut to the correct size to the desired size, if necessary, strengthen the walls with an additional hoop. The barrel is treated with an antiseptic primer or dressing to protect it from rotting. Plywood is also impregnated with a protective compound, after which it is screwed from the outside to the bottom of the barrel. Next, drill the bottom together with the plywood in several places to ensure drainage. Now it remains only to paint the pot outside and fill it with earth.
