Vases with their own hands

Land improvement - the occupation is very fascinating, although not always easy. It is especially interesting to create decor elements for your garden or local area. Original vases, made by own hands - this is the simplest, but very spectacular version of decorating the landscape. They can be made from automobile tires, concrete, stumps and even from old utensils.

Car seat from tire

Step 1. Layout

Step 3. Unscrewing the tire

The tire is turned upside down, the foot hits the wheel disc, picks up a small piece of rubber on the cut and starts to turn the product. It takes a lot of physical effort, but the more the tire turns out, the easier it is.

Step 4. Cutting the

Figured edging can be made in the form of sharp or rounded petals, fringes, triangles, using the same knife. Step 1. Mixing the solution

2 parts of cement and 3 parts of pure sand are poured into the container, mixed and gradually poured in water. Thoroughly stir the solution, so that no lumps remain. To make the pot more decorative, you can add pigment pigment to the mortar. The finished mixture should be homogeneous and moderately dense.

Step 2. Preparation of the

mold. The larger bowl is coated with vegetable oil from the inside and the other on the outside. The plastic tube is cut into 4 pieces of 5 cm long.

Step 3. Pouring the solution

mold. At the bottom of the large bowl, a layer of a solution of 2-3 cm thick is poured, and then the tube pieces are inserted closer to the center of the container. When the solution is noticeably seized, a smaller bowl is placed in a larger container, on top of the tubes, and the space between the walls is filled with the remaining solution. To the bowl inside does not move when pouring, it puts a stone or a brick. The top of the solution is leveled with a trowel and leave the construction for a day.

If there are no suitable bowls for making a flowerpot, you can use two boxes of cardboard:

• at the bottom of a large box pour a thin layer of clean sand;
• pour part of the solution to a height of 2-3 cm;
• from above place the box without the bottom;
• the space between the walls of the boxes is filled with a solution;
• is removed after 7 days, and the bottom of the pot is drilled for drainage.

Similarly, concrete vases are made in old buckets, wicker baskets and any other containers. To give the concrete surface an interesting texture, you can lay out the walls of the form with relief leaves, flowers, thin spruce branches. After painting, such products look great.

Stump pots

These vases look very natural and harmonious in any garden. For their production, smooth stumps or spits with a diameter of up to 40 cm are best suited. Birch stumps are considered to be the most decorative.

In operation, you will need:

• circular saw;
• pencil;
• drill;
• chisel;
• antiseptic mixture for wood.

Step 1. Treating the stump

The top of the stump is cut with a saw to get a clean smooth surface. The bark should remain in place, so the pot will look more natural. On the cut, a circle is marked, leaving about 7-8 cm from the edges. On the perimeter of the marking, drill holes to a depth of 10 cm, and then knock out the stump core with a chisel.

Step 2. Preparation of the

base The stump walls are straightened vertically, select all chips, compact the bottom. Then drill a few drain holes at the base.

Step 3. Filling the flowerpot

Inside the homemade pot, fill the fertile soil, slightly compact it and leave it for a few days. During this time, the earth will settle a little more, so it will have to be poured. After pouring it is possible to plant flowers. To extend the life of such a flowerpot, it is recommended to fill the ground not with the stump itself, but with any suitable container that can be installed there.

Pot of old drums

If there is an unnecessary old barrel on the site, it will make an excellent flower pot. To make it, it will take quite a bit:

• sheet of thick plywood;
• electric drill;
• self-tapping screws;
• circular saw;
• primer or waste oil;
• paint.

First, a circle is cut from the plywood in the diameter of the bottom of the barrel. The barrel itself is cut to the correct size to the desired size, if necessary, strengthen the walls with an additional hoop. The barrel is treated with an antiseptic primer or dressing to protect it from rotting. Plywood is also impregnated with a protective compound, after which it is screwed from the outside to the bottom of the barrel. Next, drill the bottom together with the plywood in several places to ensure drainage. Now it remains only to paint the pot outside and fill it with earth.

To make such a large pot can easily be moved, small wheels on metal brackets are attached to the bottom. They are bolted to the plywood bolts;for normal stability on a single pot, three wheels are enough, located at an equal distance from each other.
