Step-by-step instruction

Before starting work, it is necessary to prepare the wall and mortar. From the new wall, the influx of excess masonry mortar is repulsed, dust is removed from the old one, old plaster layers and finishes.

Ideal - the ability to deepen the masonry seams up to 1 cm to improve adhesion to the plaster mortar. If the brick is smooth, you will have to make a chisel on it with a chisel, a rough brick and a relief one should not be touched. The entire surface is dust-free and primed.

Adjacent plastic surfaces( slopes on the windows), the casing of the doorways must be covered with paint tape so as not to get dirty. The plastering of the internal brick walls is a rather dirty exercise, therefore it is necessary to take out all pieces of furniture from the premises.

The next step is to install special angles on the slopes, as well as beacons.

Beacons - metal corners are more conveniently fixed on a wall with the help of alabaster.

The verticality of the beacons is verified on the slope, and to make the surface of the wall smooth, you need to adjust their distance from the wall by the method of indentation.

Instead of a plumb line, you can use a level if it is suitable for the length.

The distance between the beacons should be such that your rule easily slides over them like a runner. Now it's time to prepare the solution.

Dry mix is diluted according to the instructions. If plastering of brick walls with a cement-sand mortar is carried out, the proportion of cement to sand is 1 to 2 or 3. The mortar is kneaded with a drill with a special mixer attachment. The solution must be kneaded in such quantities to have time to work out before it thickens. Before starting work, the wall should be moistened with water to reduce the absorption of moisture.

First, for leveling on the walls, the plaster is thrown by the trowel and roughly leveled. Lower plaster for consistency should be slightly more liquid, creamy. The layer should be 4-5 mm thick. The main thing is to make sure that the solution does not protrude beyond the edges of the beacons.

According to the technology, the next layer is applied more accurately, after the first one dries completely.

The total thickness of the layers should not exceed 10 mm. The plaster is applied also by a trowel, it should be more viscous. Gradually fill the area between the neighboring beacons and equalize the rule.

Empty shells are again filled with solution, excess is removed. When the entire wall is plastered, you need to go through the rule once again. Before filling each subsequent section, you need to clean tools.

After the plaster has been tightened - and this happens after 5-6 hours, it can be started to smooth with a float until the surface becomes homogeneous.

In the end, neatly formed joints with the window and with the door.

If the angle with the ceiling or the corners of the walls is not sufficiently worked out, then you can use it for leveling with an angled trowel.

Self-adhesive plastering of brick walls is finished, now you can start finishing works. The photos and videos that you can see in this article will help you to do the work correctly and quickly.
