Foundation frame house

Before you start assembling a frame house with your own hands you need to lay the foundation. For a lightweight design, ribbon shallow, cheap columnar or a screw foundation suitable for any type of soil is quite suitable.

Pile screw is the best option for light houses due to high maintainability and the possibility of venting wooden structures. It is necessary to provide for the presence of cutoff waterproofing from above: the best option is a roofing material in 2 layers.

The lower strapping is laid on the waterproofing with anchor bolts fastening. The boards are laid out one after another on the sides of the basement with a minimum number of joints, as in the video.

Construction of the frame

The frame can be installed in wood or metal. Metal will cost more, but for its fastening you can use steel fasteners.

Wooden will have to be treated with an antiseptic before starting work and for its binding you will have to deal with wooden nails. The frame can be collected separately from the foundation.

How to make a frame house with your own hands? The assembly of the frame starts from the angles, as in the video. To create a corner, you need to fix 2 boards, which will have to be tightly sealed. In the second turn, boards are installed that mark the beginning of window and door openings.

The distance between the rest of the racks is better if it matches the width of the thermal insulation material - plates or rolls. Too often, you do not need to put up racks either. They are bridges of cold. Vertical beams need to be strengthened with braces.

After installing the braces and aligning the racks on the level, you can start laying the crown of the ceiling of the first floor.

The next stage is the formation of door and window openings. Vertical side racks are already formed, so you need to install only horizontal bases for the window sill and the top of the window / door. The boards are fixed with screws, the lower board is additionally fixed.

Lath

The lining can be made oblique or horizontal. The horizontal is considered weaker and starts every 20 cm of emptiness.

The slanting starts at an angle of 45 degrees also through every 25 cm of emptiness and is fixed with screws. After installing the battens, the temporary jibs can be removed.

Overlappings

Floor joists must be calculated in such a way as to minimize the sagging of the structure. Beams are laid one along the other and screwed with studs. The distance between adjacent beams should not exceed 50-60 cm.

For additional floors of the first floor, additional supports must be installed. For floors of the second floor, such supports will be the internal walls. As you can see, the installation of a frame house with your own hands is quite feasible.

Roof

If the overlap of the last floor is being constructed, the ends of the logs will be needed as supports for the roof rafters. The roof can be covered with onduline, metal, soft roof. The roof frame starts to be placed from the corners.

The ends are attached to the lags, and the top is installed most often in a triangle. The distance between the rafters should be from 60 to 100 cm. The work on assembling the frame house with their own hands is better done on the ground.

Sheath

Before finishing the house with siding, you need to wrap the walls and the roof with a vapor-permeable membrane overlapping in 20-30 cm.

After the walls are covered with siding, the roof is covered with a roof, and the windows are inserted into the window openings, you can finish the work with the floor. From the bottom of the log a plank is laid out, on which the heater will be laid. The foam plastic on which the mineral wool is spread is placed underneath. Further, the floor grid is made by boards perpendicular to the floor lag. Plywood or OSB plate is sewed on the floor.

Now it remains to insulate the walls with polystyrene and mineral wool, fix the vapor barrier from the inside and perform the interior finish. The additional internal stability of the house will be provided by the installation of internal slopes.
