There are several ways to remove whitewash from the ceiling. All of them are quite simple in execution, but differ in the solutions used.

• Wash the whitewash with water. The bottom line is that you need to water the ceiling with a lot of water. Select a specific area, which is moistened with water using a sprayer. Water should absorb well, you will understand it by swelling of chalk. Then it is recommended to wait for some time and then to spray the surface with water again. After that whitewash is easily removed with a spatula. However, if it starts to actually flow down on it, then there is too much water. We must wait until it completely absorbed into the chalk. If, on the contrary, there is a lot of dust from the whitewash, then the water was not enough. After removing the whitewash with a spatula, the ceiling is further washed.
• Specialized wash. In the building store you can find a washout for whitewashing. In its composition, it has glue, due to which whitewash will harden. The washing is sprayed onto the ceiling, and after hardening, the whitewash is easily cleaned with any tool that is available. The method is simple enough, although there will still be a lot of dirt.
• Soap solution. Two tablespoons of grated soap are dissolved in ten liters of water, and they also add five tablespoons of soda. Such a solution is effective enough to wash the whitewash. This is due to soda reacting with chalk. Whitewash begins to exfoliate, and soap it softens, so that later it was convenient to remove it with a spatula.

The preparatory stage first requires the collection of all the necessary tools. Usually the main tool used to remove whitewash is a spatula. It is advisable that you have two spatulas: with a wide and narrow blade. It is useful sprayer, which will comfortably moisten the ceiling, but you can also use a paint roller. Nearby necessarily have to stand prepared buckets of water.

We must try to free the room from the interior details. If you can not take out all the furniture, then close it with a film and fix the result with adhesive tape. When the room has not been repaired for a long time, spots may appear on the ceiling with time. If you are at least once flooded by neighbors, then rusty spots are possible. Especially often they appear next to the riser pipe. But whatever their origin, good is still not enough. To whitewash the ceiling is meaningless again, since the spots do not masquerade and continue to appear through the fresh layers of whitewash.

• Bonding newspapers to the ceiling. Despite the strange name, this method is very effective and simpler than flushing. Its essence is that whitewash is not washed away, but is removed. Spread the newspaper with usual glue and attach it to the ceiling, and let the edge remain unattached. After some time, the newspaper can be torn down. Naturally, the whitewash will disappear along with it. The method is more convenient because the ceiling keeps clean, and the room will have less dust. • Application of the paste. You will need a liquid paste cooked from water with flour. It is cooled and spread by a roller on the surface. After it freezes, whitewashing easily lags behind the ceiling, and with pieces. The method is effective because there is not much dust formed. A paste is a kind of analogue of a specialized wash, only it can be prepared at home.

Consider the stages of the traditional washing of whitewash from the ceiling.

• You have water and a nebulizer. Now you need to moisten the ceiling. Try to produce it evenly. If you pour a lot of water in the same place, then it eventually starts to drain from the ceiling. Whitewashing should absorb moisture. Only in this case the chalk will swell. Therefore, take a small area of ​​a couple of square meters and begin to evenly moisturize them. If you notice that the water is absorbed, then wait for about 10 minutes, and then moisten the same area again.
• Now you can eliminate the old whitewash. At this stage, a spatula is useful, which will have to be cleaned whitewash. If you properly moistened the ceiling, the chalk will lag behind it in thin layers. If the whitewash flows through the spatula, then you used too much water.
• To work continuously, until one part of the ceiling absorbs water before the second approach, moisten the remaining areas. While you are cleaning the chalk from one place, the other will already be saturated with water.
• At the end of the work, the ceiling must be rinsed. This will help warm water and sponge from foam rubber. Checking the quality of work is easy: when the ceiling dries from water, swipe it with your finger. If there are no white marks on the finger, then you did everything right. If there is a little chalk left on the surface, do not start rinsing again. It is enough to apply a primer to the ceiling for the whitewashed surfaces.

In order not to buy specialized tools for removing whitewash, try to cook them at home.

1. Pour five liters of water into a bucket, add a spoonful of vinegar and two small caps of ordinary foam for a bath.
2. This solution is applied to the ceiling, after which it is necessary to wait until it softens the whitewash layer. It is removed with a scraper or spatula.
3. To chalk whitewash it was easier to remove from the ceiling, previously in a bucket of hot water, add 1 kg of normal salt, and then cool the water to a warm but not cold state.

Calcareous whitewash is more durable than chalk, and it is much more difficult to rinse:

1. Use a soapy solution recipe where a couple of tablespoons of grinded laundry soap and five tablespoons of soda are dissolved in a bucket of water.
2. This composition is not sprayed on the ceiling. They moisten a sponge or roller, which they wipe the prepared area.

If you prefer to prepare a paste, dissolve in cold water flour or starch:

1. The proportions are 2 tablespoons per 200 ml of water.
2. Boil the water separately in another container( in proportion: a glass of the prepared solution to 2 liters of water).
3. After boiling water, add a solution with flour or starch and cook until thickened. Cooled paste is ready for application.
