This type of installation is used not only in everyday life, but also in industrial plants where liquid or gaseous media are transported.

If we consider the installation of a metal-plastic pipeline by the method of fixing a fitting, then this product can be classified into three subgroups:

First group: Detachable. For fastening, a collet with a threaded pair is used.

The second group: Compression. For fastening, a crimp ring and a mounting nut are used.

Third group: All-in-one. The fastening is done by pressing.

As you can see, all these subgroups differ only in the way they are mounted. Now, it's worth mentioning about the model range. Despite the manufacturers, the following categories are distinguished:

• Figured fittings. With their help it is possible to make a bypass of the pipeline without using a dock;
• Locking type fittings. Relate valves, valves and all valves.
• Fittings-frogs or tees. Used for branching and tie-in of the pipeline.
• Coupling fittings - designed for docking two pipes.

Several rules for the quality installation of fittings for the installation of plastic pipes

The installation of various fittings involves the use of different mounting technologies. In order to understand each of them in detail, it is necessary to know some rules and instructions.

Installation technology of the plug fitting.

It is good that in a system made in this way it is easy to carry out both assembly and dismantling of elements. This product has a metal body, with threaded external threads on the ends, there is a mounting nut and a detachable ring, which is put on the pipe. To install, follow these instructions:

1. Cut the pipe at right angles;
2. Disassemble the product into its component parts;
3. Put the mounting nut and ring on the pipe;
4. Slide the parts 5-10 cm from the end of the pipe;
5. Screw the body fitting into the end of the pipe( its edge must abut a special groove);
6. Move the mounting nut and detachable ring to the contact between the housing and the pipe.
7. Place the ring inside the nut;
8. Screw the nut onto the body of the connector using the spanner.
9. Carry out a circular pipe crimping to seal the joint.

Compression fitting technology.

On the body of this product is located the external thread, and it includes a crimp ring and a union nut. A distinctive feature is that the compression product is assembled once. Dismantling is not recommended.

The installation is carried out practically as it is in the previous version.

1. Trim the pipe at a right angle and calibrate the end face;
2. Attach the union nut and crimp ring.
3. Insert the body fitting;
4. Mount the ring over the contact point of the fitting, pressing it with a nut.

As a result, the design is fixed to the union by crimping force from the threaded pair.

The technology of fitting a press fitting.

This installation differs from the previous ones. The product also consists of a body with a thread, with a union, but instead of the union nuts on the ends, a sleeve is used, which acts as a pressure fitting of the contact point of the fitting and the pipe.

For installation on this technology, a hydraulic press machine is available.

1. Cut the pipe at right angles;
2. Process the end face of the calibrator, aligning the slice and removing the chamfer from the edges;
3. Replace the sleeve;
4. Tightly insert the fitting of the fitting body into the end of the pipe;
5. Place the connection in the vice of the press machine;
6. Press.

With this method, dismantling of the connecting element is not possible, but it provides practically 100% leak-tightness.
