At the first stage, the lowest point of the site is determined. It is almost always located on the outer corners. At this point, determine the depth of the foundation tape, it should be below the depth of freezing of the ground.

In the central part of Russia, it is about 1.5 meters. Many will say that it is very deep and such a foundation will be golden. But there is also the reverse side of the coin, such a deep-seated ribbon foundation, made by own hands, will certainly last long, it will not lead, it will not break, it really will be a good basis for a brick house.

Why do I need a sand cushion?

Sandbag is poured in order to reduce pressure. This pressure changes in the off-season. The thickness of the pillow should not exceed 15 cm. After filling the pillow, the layer should be compacted and leveled using a level.

Do not wet the sand well before tamping. For ramming in the 21 century, use an electric ram. If not, then to the piece of log we nail the pen and return to the 19th century.

Reinforcement

Reinforcement of the basement with its own hands is carried out using a reinforcement with a diameter of 1.2 cm. Wire is used to make the binding. The finished frame from the reinforcement is laid on the bottom of the pit.

When transporting concrete, it can slightly harden, so it can be slightly diluted with water. After the solution is poured it is rammed with a special action vibrator. The essence of the ramming is that it has a deep character.

Such a ramming will prevent the presence of air pockets in the concrete. After the foundation is flooded it is equal to the rule, or trowel. In order to keep the top layer of the foundation in its proper form, you need to follow it. For example, in hot weather, it is desirable to wet the surface.

Otherwise, it will crack and become unusable. After 15 days formwork can be removed. Then the waterproofing of the foundation is done. For this, various materials are used, the most popular ones: bituminous mastics and roll-like waterproofing of the technonikol type. After that, the foundation will be ready!
