First stage: cleaning the room, installing beacons

All the debris that is in the room must be removed. It is best to use a powerful construction vacuum cleaner to remove small and large particles.

After this, the prepared surface is primed. As you can see in the photo on the floor screed, you can use for this purpose a roller and a special primer for the floor.

Next, the beacons are arranged. But it should be remembered that if a concrete floor screed is to be carried out, it is necessary to make reinforcement using a reinforcing mesh that spreads over the entire area of the room. This will further strengthen the basis.

The installation of beacons is done using a level. On the walls you need to make marks. Next, a thick mortar of cement is laid out with small slides to the height of marks on the walls throughout the room. A profile is placed on top of a series of marks.

Laying of cement screed

The use of expanded clay will significantly insulate the floor in the room. But in order to understand how to make a floor screed with expanded clay, it must be remembered that the material should not stand for profiles that restrict the floor level.

It is necessary to carefully cover it over the entire area and distribute it. Ideally a flat surface will not work, but the fewer gaps remain, the better. On top of the layer of expanded clay it is necessary to spray cement milks. It will allow to cover the bottom material with a thin film. At this stage, the work is interrupted for 1 day.

Once the received mass has frozen, and have passed day, it is possible to proceed to the final stage. To do this, it must be remembered that the installation of cement floor screed with expanded clay is not much different from the usual filling without a warming layer. In particular, it will be necessary to dilute 400 cement and mix in a ratio of 1/3 with sand or you can use ready-made building mixtures.

The composition is poured and distributed just above the profile level. The final alignment is carried out under the water or laser level. It remains only to wait for the hardening and the cement screed will be ready.

Concrete, dry and semi-dry screed: how to do the job correctly?

Reinforcement was carried out prior to the concrete screed. From this point of reference, repairs are continued. It is necessary to purchase a foam concrete class from B3 and even higher.

The density of the composition is especially important - from 600 kg / m3.Mixing is done with the use of special construction equipment. The layer of laying screed can be from 3 to 5 cm.

A quality dry floor screed with your own hands is faster than all other types. For this, special raw materials are used, sold in any construction shop. It falls asleep on a concrete foundation. Then, the floors are leveled and installed. Above these layers, the floor covering is directly mounted.

Preparation of a semi-dry floor screed with your own hands takes a little time and it will require cement, sand and fiber( about 0.5 kg per 1 m3).

Composition is spread over the surface of the floor with respect to the beacons.

Each type of screed has its advantages. But you should pay attention to the cost. The stronger, the warmer the screed and the faster the work is done, the correspondingly higher the price.
