The construction of the porch made of wood by oneself is the simplest version of the arrangement of the porch.

You can put a wooden porch at any suitable moment, which distinguishes it from concrete, the foundation of which is expedient to do simultaneously with the foundation of a private house.

More often a porch on the basis of wood is put for a country house or a summer residence.

Only after making all measurements, begin the device of the entrance part of the private structure. Bearing beams are brought to the bottom of the door and attached, so that the future porch area was at the threshold level.

Fastening of beams is carried out by anchors and dowels. The tools needed for this are shown in the photo.

The frame supports are buried in a pit, the depth of which is equal to one third of their height. The front crossbeam is lowered into the ends of the posts, fastened with screws.

The frame should look like four load-bearing beams located equally and attached to the posts.

In three layers make stairs of the ladder. One board is placed between the two outer ones so that their upper edges are in an upright position.

In the frame racks, on which the ladder will hold, make grooves for the middle board of the bowstring. The board is inserted into the grooves, screws are screwed on the side.

The steps must be built from two boards, screwing them to the strings. The distance between the steps should be equal to 170 mm. Retreating the same gap from the floor, make the last step.

Using special wood pads that leave a small gap between the boards, put a wooden flooring.

Then saw the details for the stairs: the racks and the longitudinal ties of the handrail. The edges after cutting are rounded using a grinder.

Then, from the two vertical posts, the two upper and one floor connections, arranged horizontally, the railing elements for the porch are assembled.

The details are leveled and clamped with a clamp, and then fastened to the base.

The railing rails with the edge of the porch should be the longest. They are inserted into specially made holes in the floorboards and fixed on load-bearing beams.

To create a handrail for the ladder, the bars are taken. They are fastened in the corners and attached to the end of the corner rack.

Frequent mistakes in the construction of the wooden porch

Serious mistake - the device of the staircase or entrance area close to the door.

In autumn and spring doors from dampness swell, as a result they will scrape the floor when opening. And in winter, when the earth freezes, the staircase may rise slightly.

The result - the doors will have to be opened with difficulty.

Another mistake that is periodically made during the construction of their own hands - the erection of the foundation, and hence the installation of the porch at a shallow depth.

Consequence - the porch and the house will be at different levels, which is very noticeable from the outside.

Do not waterproof - also a gross oversight. After a while, the moisture will ruin the tree.
