Preparation of the crate
The installation of the roofing material is done on the lathing, which makes the structure more durable, preventing the deflection and the formation of cracks on the roof under the influence of negative weather conditions.
It is also necessary to fix the end board at the expected height of the roofing profile( later the end plates will be attached to it).
The chamfering installation will also have to be done on a special lath under which a layer of flooring made of wooden boards is made( the height should be level with the crate).
When making fastenings with your own hands, do not forget that for fixing the strip at the edges, first self-tapping screws are used, and the final fixing is carried out simultaneously with the installation of roofing sheets.

As a waterproofing, as a rule, a layer of rolled ruberoid is used.

Just remember that to move on the roof should be extremely cautious, and you can only step on the already fixed sheets( put the feet in the grooves, resting on the beams of the crate).

Remember that you can mount the roof from the end only on the gable roof, on the hip roof the installation of the metal profile is made from the center of the hip.
When installing profiled sheets, consider the roof slope.
If the angle of inclination is less than 15 degrees, the overlap of the sheets should be at least 20 cm( so that moisture can not get between sheets).
If the angle is more than 15-20 degrees, then the overlap is reduced to 15 cm.
If the roof is completely flat, then it is necessary to conduct additional sealing of the overlaps horizontally and vertically using a silicone sealant.
