Those who are more skeptical, reason: "Why should I mess with heavy metal? I'll take boards, a saw, a hammer, nails, a shovel and in half a day I "slap" myself a fence around the site, I will detach myself from the outside world. "However, more pragmatic owners decide to install a metal fence with their own hands.

Why? Metal enclosures combine reliability and strength, durability and not very high cost, they fully correspond to their protective functions. Another undoubted "plus" of such fences is diversity. pipes on racks and lintels;
self-tapping screws;
primer;
mixing tank + cement mortar.

Instruction for the installation of a metal fence

The first stage of work is the marking of a section and the installation of poles, which use metal pipes( square or standard round with a diameter of min 62 mm).

The marking is made around the perimeter of the site in increments of about 3.0 m. The length of the columns is determined by the sum of two values - the desired height of the fence, plus, the depth of their installation( it is recommended to deepen the racks for a distance of more than 1.0 m).

There are two ways to install poles for fence - with or without concreting.

For the installation of this enclosure, concreting is a prerequisite( heavy load on the supports).The installed metal pipes are checked by the level for verticality.

After installing the racks between them, two parallel jumpers are mounted by welding, to which the profile sheets will be fixed with self-tapping screws. To increase the rigidity of the structure between them, it is possible to mount vertically small pieces of a similar pipe. Supports and jumpers are primed before installation to avoid corrosion.

Mounting of the profiled sheet to the jumpers and posts is done by screws. Pre-drilled holes of the required diameter( from the calculation - at least eight pieces per profile sheet).

Specialists recommend the use of special screws( having gaskets), designed for mounting profiled sheets. They protect the metal in the vicinity of fastening from corrosive processes. During installation, the profile sheets are checked for horizontality along the upper edge. At the end of the installation, the entire fence can be painted.
