Arrange a fence of bamboo around its possessions - a very peculiar idea. Such a fence is guaranteed to look not only modern and stylish, but it will certainly be truly exclusive, since it is unlikely that neighboring neighbors will have anything similar. At the same time, the manufacture and installation of such a structure is entirely up to the landlord, who for the first time undertakes such a job.

When starting a bamboo fence, first of all, it is necessary to determine the boundaries of the site where the fence is to be installed. Also, you need to decide the issue with the planned height of the structure. The distance between the posts of the fence should be 2 m. When choosing the length of the fence boards, it is necessary to focus on the relief differences. Based on these parameters, you need to calculate the required number of materials.
Materials and tools
For the manufacture of a bamboo fence with your own hands you will need the following materials:
- wooden poles, section minimum 100 x 100 mm;
- bamboo trunks of approximately the same cross-section;
- edged boards 30 x 100 mm;
- metal fasteners for the installation of fence panels to the racks;
- nails, self-tapping screws( it's worth noting that the screws will need different lengths, including large enough, according to the thickness of the bamboo trunks.) The screws must be made of stainless metal;
- antiseptic and fire retardant for wood;
- bituminous mastic;
- waterproof varnish for outdoor use.
Tools:
- screwdriver;
- Manual circular electric saw;
- hacksaw, hammer;
- shovel for installing poles;
- tape measure, construction level, plumb line;
- set of brushes.
Step-by-step instruction for assembling the bamboo fence
1. Initially, you will need to install wooden poles. The depth at which the poles are digging into the ground should be greater by 10% of the depth of freezing. Before digging into the ground, the part of the pillars that will be in the ground is desirable to be treated with bituminous mastic( for protection against decay).The optimal option - concrete columns. When installing poles, you need to make sure that they are in a strictly vertical position, which is checked using a construction level or a plumb line.
2. Having exposed the poles and being assured of their stability, they should be attached with nails to the metal fasteners( embedded parts) for mounting the base of the fence panels.
3. Having installed a fastening element from metal on one of the posts, you need to determine the place for installing the next element on the next column with the help of the board and level. Similarly, all subsequent fastener elements are exposed.
4. The board, which will serve as the basis of the shield in length, is cut in place with a hacksaw.
5. In the grooves of the fastening metal elements of the racks, you need to insert horizontal boards - the future basis of the frame of the fence shield. Then, to them it is necessary to fix the vertical boards with self-tapping screws. In this case, it is necessary to correctly calculate the step of vertical boards to ensure the best strength of the shield. Assembling the wooden frame of the shield is desirable to perform, according to the photos shown on the site.
6. By making a wooden frame under the future fence board, it needs to be removed and put on goats for the subsequent fastening of bamboo trunks. In both horizontal boards of the frame, you need to twist two screws, retreating from their edges on each side of 4-5 cm. Screwed screws will serve as limiters, preventing the bamboo trunks from rolling off the plane of the frame.
7. Bamboo trunks should be laid tightly on the frame without gaps and fastened with screws to the shield boards at the top and bottom.
8. Using improvised means, for example a wide straight board, it is necessary to apply a cutting line on bamboo trunks, focusing on the upper edge of the horizontal board of the shield. After that, using an electric circular saw, it is necessary to cut off the excess part of bamboo trunks.
9. Having measured with the help of a tape measure the necessary height of a fence, it is similarly necessary to cut off excess bamboo and on a bottom of a board.
10. The finished fence board should be attached to the place to the metal fittings using self-tapping screws. After that, the connection points with fasteners should be closed with bamboo trunks that are suitable for thickness.
11. To protect against precipitation from entering the bamboo trunks, the top of the fence should be closed with an edging board attached to the posts by means of screws.
12. All wooden parts of the fence, as well as bamboo trunks, for their safety, must be treated with antipyrene and antiseptic primer.
13. In order to ensure that the fence is guaranteed to last long without losing its beautiful appearance, it is desirable to cover it with a moisture resistant varnish.
