The same attention as the whole apartment in general, requires a balcony. Today we will talk about the important element of this living space, namely, how we will do the floor on the balcony, what kind of coverage we will choose. If the floor is qualitatively "finished", then it is pleasant to go out onto such a balcony and clean it easier.
And the dust and dirt will not be entered from the "street" into the house, if you have not already glazed the balcony. You can decorate the floor in different ways: to paint the slab, to lay linoleum. However, this can not hide the unevenness of the plate. Therefore, consider three common options: the device of a wooden floor, a floor, a tiling.
Immediately make a reservation that the balcony is preferable to the floor wooden. Firstly, such a design has a relatively small weight compared to the filling floor or tiled. The latter is better for a loggia. Secondly, the wooden floor is "warmer", since the wood itself has an extremely low thermal conductivity, and after the construction of such a floor an air cushion forms between it and the plate, which partially compensates for the low temperature of the plate.
Wooden floor on the balcony
Start with the leveling of the slab surface. Up to the ideal state is not necessary, but the logs must lie flat, without distortion. The second stage of the work is the construction of a crate. You can, in principle, lay the boards and directly on the stove, if it is well aligned. But by this we will deprive the balcony of some warming from below, and if it is closed( glazed), then the air circulation under the floor. Align the boards, fit to each other will be much more difficult. Plus stacking of boards on logs also in that between a plate and floor boards it will be possible to lay the additional heater. There are many options for such warming, but laying out the material requires some space.
It should be borne in mind that the entire tree to be laid on the balcony must be treated with special means to protect it from decay and from damage by insects. Then such a floor will last long enough. As a log, wooden blocks are usually used, and it would be good to paint them also. Lags( bars) are attached to the balcony plate with dowels or long screws, pre-drilled holes in the plate and installing the sleeves.
The bars are placed along the perimeter of the balcony. In other parts they are put depending on how the board will be laid-along or across. The task of "intermediate" bars is not to let the boards sag. If the balcony is long, it is better to lay the board across.
Filler floor
The advantage of the bulk floor is that it can serve for a very long time. First, you also need to prepare a loggia slab to make a screed. But unlike the lightweight screed under the wooden floor, the screed is now essential. It is better to make a semi-dry screed. The material is the same - sand and cement. After it thoroughly dries, it is primed, and the ground "no regrets".If necessary, it is necessary to prime in several layers, but not less than two.
After applying the last layer of primer to work on pouring the floor is recommended to proceed no earlier than a day. Everything should dry well. The filler floor is a liquid material that spreads and, after drying, forms a protective film. Experts advise her to do a thickness of at least 2 mm. It should be noted that the bulk floors are of several types, so when pouring it is necessary to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Ceramic tile floor
Laying the tiles is not as difficult as they usually think. But first you need to prepare a flat concrete surface, and, accordingly, primed. Now you need a tile glue, a spatula - a comb and the tile itself. It is necessary to follow the instructions, which are supplied with each package with glue. Then the tile "pressed" into the floor. You need to tie the tiles together neatly. And constantly - control of horizontality with the help of a level.
