Properly manufactured mortar after hardening has the following characteristics: density - about 650 kg / m3, tensile strength - over 1.7 N / m2, resistance to compression - over 5 N / m2, thermal insulation properties - an average of 0.2 W /(m * K).

By the way, here is one of the variants of such a solution: cement 1 part, perlite 3 parts, sand 2.2 parts, water 1.5 parts, plasticizer( if necessary) 3 parts .As for the dry warming backfill, its thermal conductivity corresponds to 0.04-0.05 W /( m * K).Expanded perlite, like other products of volcanic activity( such as tuff), both in solution and in the loose state, does not completely age and does not lose its properties, is not damaged by rodents, insects or fungus.
