Required materials

First of all, for the implementation of such a floor, it is necessary to connect to a high-temperature heating circuit. Also for floor installation you will need:

  • Collector cabinet with pump and distribution equipment;
  • Electric actuators for temperature control;
  • Control communicator;
  • Damper tape made of expanded polystyrene;
  • Steam insulation;
  • Polystyrene coated panels;
  • Metal-polymer pipe;
  • Thermostat;
  • Concrete with plasticizer;
  • Tool for mounting metal-polymer pipes: pipe cutter, press pliers, spring jig, calibrator.

Mounting technology

The installation of warm floors for laying linoleum includes several stages, and, thanks to modern materials, it can be done independently.

  • Installation begins with the assembly of the control and distribution system of the coolant. Install a collector in the room.
  • Mount the pump and mixing unit. It plays an important role in the system of warm floors - it creates a separate circuit with a regulated water temperature.
  • Collect collector block. It is responsible for supplying the coolant to various floor contours and is made up of two collectors - the supply and return. The unit also includes flowmeters and check valves.
  • The equipment after assembly is placed in a pre-installed cabinet and connected to a high-temperature circuit.

  • Preparation of a rough floor is an important stage. Prior to the beginning of the work, it is necessary to level the floor and eliminate all irregularities, cracks, and clean it of debris. Check its level for lack of distortions, if necessary - align.
  • Along the walls to compensate for temperature deformation and additional thermal insulation along the perimeter of the floor, a damper strip made of expanded polystyrene is laid. The tape is stacked so that after the concrete is poured the ribbon protrudes above its surface.
  • A vapor barrier film is laid on the floor, leaving a stock of about 10 cm near the walls.
  • Polystyrene coated boards and lugs are placed on top of the film. They not only provide thermal insulation, but also form the basis for the pipes. Plates are overlapped, connecting with a special groove.

  • Metal plates are laid on the plates. The form of the layout of pipes and the distance between them is selected based on the calculation results. If possible, the pipe in each circuit is put in a single loop.
  • Lay pipes between special lugs on polystyrene slabs - they secure the fixation of pipes.
  • The laying step is usually 150 or 300 mm and is specified in the design of the calculation of the warm floor. The way of laying is also indicated in the project, usually for living quarters it is a "snail" or "snake".Simultaneously with the laying of pipes, install a floor temperature sensor, supplied with a thermoregulator. It is put together in a corrugated pipe with a plug and placed at an equal distance from the pipes running in parallel. The pipe is laid between the bosses and the wire is led to the thermoregulator.
  • At the bending point of the pipes to obtain a smooth radius and no breaks, a spring jig must be used.

  • After installation of contours of a pipe connect to a collector. With the help of a pipe cutter, they are cut, chamfered using a calibrator of the correct diameter and the crimp fittings are installed.
  • Connect the pipes to the manifold, tighten the nuts with a wrench.
  • Install servos to regulate the temperature of the supply water.
  • On the wall in a convenient place set thermostat.
