Metal Suspension System
When it comes to choosing the material for the rack design, many stop on the system with aluminum panels. In addition to watertightness, the metal structure has a number of advantages over PVC:

- Sound absorption;
- Aluminum does not rust and does not deform;
- Service life - up to 50 years.
To improve the waterproofing, specialists do not recommend alternating aluminum modules with steel elements, because, when in contact with water, these elements are more prone to corrosion.
The approach to cleaning the aluminum ceiling should be more scrupulous than cleaning the plastic. Pollution is best removed using abrasive cleaning agents, although the condensate upon drying practically leaves no trace.
Unlike the plastic suspension system, metal racks are produced in a wider range. Their impressive range of length and width allows you to choose the right amount without fits and scraps, which further simplifies installation and saves time.
It is not recommended for the bathroom to create complex design outboard schemes in view of the small dimensions of the room and constant contact with moisture, but if you decide to realize one of your creative fantasies, then certainly a metal construction will do it best. At your disposal ready-made German rectangular, Italian rounded, cube and V-shaped modules, which in combination will create the most stylish interior.
Assembling the suspended ceiling
Before starting the installation of the suspension system, it is necessary to remove the whitewash and plaster from the main roof, which will crumble and thereby prevent the installation of the ceilings for the bathroom. You also need to maximally free the bathroom from foreign objects and furniture.
- As for the installation of any ceiling for the beginning, we mark out the profile fixing lines. Depending on the curvature of the base ceiling, we retreat the required number of centimeters( from 5 to 15).
- Next we attach profile modules to the shaded lines. And on the perimeter of the entire ceiling you need to put the slats, which will later be installed cross-section, to which the rails are fixed.
- To hide the joints of the panel with the wall, the L-shaped profile is fastened to the slats standing along the perimeter of the rectangle with the help of self-tapping screws.
- Install the planned communications( ventilation, wiring) and make holes for the lamp.
- Fill ceiling space with rack panels. The most difficult at this stage is to fix the "enclosing" rail,it is its width that must be adjusted to the distance that remains to the wall.
