Advantages of "self-adhesive"
What are the advantages of this adhesive coating? In fact, there are a lot of them, and they can be enumerated indefinitely, but the main ones are the following:
- Affordable price;
- A wide range of products on the market. Self-adhesive film for the bathroom is not only a variety of colors, abstract patterns and ornaments, but also a choice( albeit small) of textures. For example, there is a glossy and matte surface;
- Water-resistant and temperature-resistant;
- Easy to use. It requires only a small set of tools for gluing PVC-foil walls, namely: spatula, mounting knife, ruler, scissors and pencil;
- Does not require special cleaning agents for care.
Matte or glossy?
Before committing to repair, we first go to the market to select the necessary material. And then the buyer faces a difficult task to make the right choice: matte and glossy self-adhesive film for the bathroom? After all, I'd like to forget about repairing for a couple of years after completing all the work.
If we talk about the bathroom, then the most profitable surface for the walls is still considered glossy. 
But let's consider all the pros and cons of both coatings in the bathroom according to the following criteria: care, safety, practicality and aesthetics.
- Care. Glossy film is easier to clean, becausein contrast to matte, it does not have the properties to absorb contaminants and fat, which is due to a small degree of porosity. Although often on your wall you will see the stains and dried spray, but all this is easily removed with a regular sponge or a damp cloth.
- Security. Do not be surprised, but the bathroom is a place where both walls and furniture are constantly in contact with moisture, which makes their surfaces slippery, so there is a place to say about safety. It's no secret that the glossy wall or surface of household items becomes so slippery when wet, and therefore also traumatic. In this category, the gloss is completely inferior to the matte film, which has a more porous texture, from which it becomes not so slippery when exposed to moisture.
- Practicality. The well-known fact that the glossy surface has a reflective property that allows to visually increase the space, and this is especially important for small bathrooms. But. In bright lighting, this self-adhesive will "cut" the eye and give a sense of discomfort, which can not be said about the matte wall.
Preparation of the surface before gluing
A distinctive criterion for PVC glue from other finishing materials is that the latter can be applied to any surface, whether wood or tile, glass, metal or plasterboard. The only condition is that the surface should be flat and free from grease.
Pasting surfaces
You can glue with self-adhesive film not only the walls, but also the bathroom furniture to which the bathroom itself belongs. 
After preparation of the surface, cut the sampling. This is done on the front side. Depending on the picture, the size of the bands is set. Then gradually, separating the substrate, the film is connected to the wall, leveling the surface from the center to the edges, in order to avoid and not leave air bubbles.
