How to choose disks?
The working part of the tool is a grinding disc. This is the main and most important accessory for the Bulgarian, all other accessories are designed for either specific operations or to facilitate the operator's work. The technical passport of each USM specifies the maximum permissible diameter of the circle, which is permitted for use. The thickness and diameter of the installation hole are also indicated. There are different types of discs for different purposes and needs:
- Stripping or cutting wheels. With their help, cutting and grinding of blanks is carried out. At work the angle of inclination should be of the order of 30-40 degrees. For working with swinging blanks and with wide sides of materials, it is not recommended to use these circles. When choosing, it is necessary to pay attention to the absence of any deformations, cracks, chips. The maximum number of revolutions for the disc should not be less than the speed of the tool shaft.
- Belleville disc wheels - with their help you can work with metal, wood, plastic and stone.
- Cup grinding wheels are made of solid material. Used to work on small planes, remove the layers on the plastic. Also suitable for fitting panels from limestone and to remove old layers of paint.
- Diamond wheels. This is a special category that represents accessories for Bulgarians. Each circle is used only for work with a certain material, for example, disks for granite are stuck in materials with viscous properties, and disks for asphalt become duller when working with granite.
Important! Do not make deep cuts in one approach, as this will reduce the life of the Bulgarian, and the disk will receive a huge load.
Accessories
To improve and facilitate the work, there are various accessories for the Bulgarian. Often a protractor is required, which allows cutting light profiles( tiles, flooring, skirting boards and so on).For such purposes, you can use special tools, but they are often bulky and inconvenient. Therefore, the protractor for the USM is an excellent alternative.
The material to be cut lies on the guiding corner with a special anti-friction pad and in the slot of the swivel element. The workpiece is pressed tightly against the shelves of the corner, the required cutting angle is set. Then, lightly pressing the disc, the profile is cut. This protractor consists of only four parts: the main parts, the corners of the lock, the loop and the locking bolt-lamb.
Note! The conveyor is suitable only for working with small profiles.
Another separate group of accessories is the spare parts for the Bulgarian. This electric tool, like any other, experiences high stresses during operation, as well as a strong impact of dust and dirt, so, sooner or later, breakdowns occur. Many breakages can be eliminated by replacing the damaged part with a new one. The spare parts market provides all the necessary details for this.
Adapters for a self-made burner
Often it is necessary to perform this or that work by a Bulgarian, but keeping it on weight is inconvenient. For the release of hands, self-made devices for the Bulgarian are used. Most often this is a simple frame from a conventional box. To make such a stand with your own hands, you need to make a wooden box. It is enough to make only one side for fastening the tool and the top of the frame. Instead of the other walls, legs are simply attached, this saves time and materials.
The protective cover from the grinder is removed. A disc is placed on the instrument, leaning against the side wall and marking where a slot should be made for the path of the disc or nozzle. The gap is not narrow, so that foreign tools do not get between the disk and the walls of the slot. However, if it is planned to change the nozzles without analyzing the design, the gap will have to be widened. To support the tool, two bars are mounted to the wall of the box. On this frame is ready to work.
Important! Since the protective cover is removed, it is necessary to work only in a protective mask.
