Waterproof plaster: scope and properties

Solution preparation and surface preparation
The first step is to prepare a substrate that is cleaned of dirt and dust, grease and bitumen stains, and old plaster( paint, whitewash) is removed. Waterproof plaster is prepared in accordance with the instructions on the packaging. To do this, 25 kg of the mixture( 1 bag) is gradually filled up in a container and diluted with warm water( about 20 ° C).When stirring, use a drill-mixer with a special nozzle at an average speed. As a result, a homogeneous creamy mass should be obtained without any lumps.
The resulting composition is left for 3-5 minutes for "settling" and again as it should be mixed. After that, apply plaster to the walls. It is important that there are appropriate conditions for temperature and humidity. The temperature is desirable around + 5-30 ° C, and the humidity is about 75%.Used tools: trowel and grater.
Application technology for moisture resistant plaster
Apply plaster to walls using the "scuff" method. However, before this, it is necessary to set the beacons in a vertical position parallel to each other. The acceptable distance between them is about 20-30 centimeters. They fix them with a plaster solution. The level checks the correct installation of beacon profiles. Further plaster application is carried out 2-3 hours after installation.

Warning! During drying, the surface must be protected from ultraviolet light and sunlight. After completion of work, it is important to rinse containers, tools and hands thoroughly with water. In dry condition, waterproof plaster can be stored for about 12 months in indoor areas protected from moisture.
