Swimming pool in the country with their own hands with an alpine slide

In this lesson we will consider the construction of a swimming pool on the site with our own hands, it should be noted that it is not such a difficult task to improve your site, it all depends on how much you are willing to experiment with finishing and giving your pool visibility and completeness.

Materials that will be required for the construction of the pool:

  1. Thread - to draw a contour of the structure.
  2. Shovels - in order to dig a hole under the pool.
  3. Several concrete tiles - for laying on the ground.
  4. Sand - for compacting.
  5. Stones - for giving a beautiful appearance.
  6. Tarpaulin - for laying on the bottom of the pool.
  7. Crushed - for laying on the bottom.
  8. Pump - for creating the image of the Alpine hill.

Step 1 - Make the outline of our pool

We measure the territory with a thread and attach a contour

Measure the territory with a thread and attach the contour

The area of our pool is measured with a thread that is attached to the contour in wooden posts, the shape of the pool can be created any we chose in the form of an oval shape with slightly wrapped edges.

Step 2 - Dig a hole for the pool

We dig a hole along the contour, which was noted in the previous step

Dig a pit on the contour that was noted in the previous step

You can dig a hole using a conventional shovel This step takes an average of 1-3 hours and depends on the number of people who will dig your pool,we coped very quickly.

Step 3 - We finish with digging holes under the pool

We dig a hole deep and make the edges

We remove the remnants of the earth

Removing the remains of the land

Note that at this step we lay a hill of land that will later serve as a construction for the waterfall that we will install with the poolon our dacha site.

Step 4 - We bring the pipes under the pool

We pour the hole with sand and bring the pipes to the pump

We pour the hole with sand and bring the pipes to the pump

At this step we will need to sprinkle the pool with sand and bring the pipes that will allow us to organize a waterfall in our dacha section. It is installed very simply and works through a pump, which in turn operates on electricity. The pump will pump water from the pool and lift it to our hill and work according to this cycle.

Step 5 - We lay polystyrene and rubber

We lay polystyrene on the bottom

on the bottom of the pool. We put the polystyrene

We are tired to the bottom of the pit by rubber or other waterproof material

on the bottom. We are tired of the rubber or other waterproof material

to the bottom of the pit. Step 6 - We are laying the pool with the stone

We prepare stones

Preparing the stones

Preparing the stones is probably the most difficult stage of all our work. A stone of suitable length can be very difficult to find. A good option would be to go to the riverbank and collect stones there, but there basically is pebbles, but it's your choice. If you do not know where to find the stones, then we advise you to purchase them in special construction stores.

We start spreading the stones along the contour

Begin to lay out the stones on the contour

We lay out the alpine hill of stones

Preliminary leveling a pile of earth, we proceed to the laying of stones, but everything depends on your imagination.

We finish with laying stones around the pool

This will look like our pool after laying out the stones, now proceed to the next stage - it is a mound of rubble on the bottom of the pool( for rubber).

We put on the bottom of the pool gravel

Fill the pool with water

After the crushed stone is filled with water. Please note that the stone should be thoroughly washed so that your pool does not become dirty after filling.

Step 7 - Connecting the pump to the alpine hill

Connect the pump to the pool

Connect to the pool pump

As our unit from which the water will pour - we have chosen an ordinary jug, you will agree - this gives a certain zest to our dacha pool.
