Knocking out plugs on the old counter: what to do

The question is answered: Alexander Myasoedov
Hello! You may have somehow incorrectly formulated, since you contradict your words here "Is it possible to change the meter in the old house and disconnect the house with the old wiring from the electricity?" Now to the point - what rated current are your plugs designed for? Is it directly indicated on them, for example 10A, 16A? Even if it knocks out from the kettle, then there are two options - either you have plugs with a very low rated current (for example 6A), or they just went out of order and do not hold the load - it is solved by replacing these same plugs with new ones, or with automatic ones switches.

If the meter is old, you still have to change it. To install a new meter, you need to contact the energy sales company, if there is an energy supply agreement, you can find out the power allocated to your house, it is indicated in kilowatts.

For example, 5 kW is 5000 watts, if you divide them by voltage (220V) you will find out the current, it is with this rated current that you can install a circuit breaker, less is possible, but no more. I mean, if at least the same 5 kW is allocated to the site, then you can install an automatic machine up to 25A for the input - this is enough for the meter, and for the washing machine and other electrical appliances. Also, this information can be found either in the power supply company or in the power grid company (rather the latter). You also need to replace the lead-in cable that goes from the support to the house.
