Smart power outage - one of the drawbacks of the new automated system
Of course, taking readings from meters is becoming increasingly problematic for both employees of energy-saving companies, and for us - ordinary users. Especially, this applies to densely populated areas. Many of the residents, during such detours, are absent from home, and some, just do not want to open doors to strangers. Thus, it is difficult to keep statistics on electricity consumption in the country and establish objective tariffs for the service.
In order to avoid the outdated system for controlling the use of electricity by the population, the government decided to finance a new smart system, the task of which will be automated monitoring, taking readings, switching on and smart power outage for non-payment.
In fact, the use of this smart system is similar to paying bills for mobile communication services. Those users who do not pay the electricity in time will fall into the so-called prepayment regime. In other words, there will be a power limit for the advance. If the money is on the account - you can freely spend your paid-up electricity. As soon as the money runs out - the smart system disconnects the user from the electricity services until the next replenishment of the account.
Implementing this system, with smart disconnection, is a huge step forward. First, all will have an incentive to pay for the services provided to them, and those who decide to live at the expense of the state, accumulating more and more new debts - will sit in the dark. Secondly, there will be no need to take readings from meters, a smart system will do it itself. Thirdly, Smart conducts an unbalance assessment and can identify "theft" of electricity.
The only drawback and, at the same time, the advantage - a smart shutdown. At first, it will be difficult for some to control electricity costs for a fee. Such people should expect that at the most inopportune moment the smart system will automatically shut down.
How does the new smart system for power monitoring
In general, the system is relatively simple. On the electricity meters there are special modules for taking readings. They also have a modem, which provides information transfer and all self-management functions. The counter sends information daily to the server where statistics and analysis are maintained. Special instructions come from the server, following which, smart disconnection or subscriber connection may follow. Plus, the operator is able to independently produce a smart power outage in the house, if the meter transmits information about the illegal use of electricity( theft) or some kind of breakdown.
