Important! If the slope of the roof exceeds 45ᵒ, then it is necessary to calculate in advance the compatibility of the specific model of the ridge with this angle. If this is not done, the consequences can be the most deplorable, up to a complete replacement of the roofing.

It is also worth noting that the slats of skates can be bent and unbend, if necessary, so that they repeat the angle of the roof.

Stage 7. Arrangement of a valley

An additional board is attached to each valley. Installation in this case starts from the bottom and is overlapped in 25-30 cm. Below the level of the eaves is cut the lower bar, it is flanged. Under each obortovku and konek the sealant is put.

Important! If errors were made, the fastening will be in other places and, as a result, gaps are formed on the surface through which the roof will flow.

To cover the trimmed sheets, decorative pads are used, when installing, you need to remember some important points:

• installation should be performed from the bottom up;
• does not need to be sealed between the tile and the cover plate;
• products overlap( minimum 10 cm);
• self-tapping screws used to fix the linings should not damage the valley.
  

  Protection of the valley

Often the beginning and end of the grades are on the roof slope. Take, for example, the installation of a dormer window. Here under the roof there is a separate board. For the window itself, a cut is made in the sheet, and sealing material is laid along the walls. At the same time the cornice overhang is covered by a bar.

Then the slats of the valley, pre-cut at the edges, are fixed. The outgoing part must be extremely tightly attached to the sheet of shingles.

Features of material care

As already mentioned, the metal tile is coated with a polymer layer that protects against corrosion. But the constant impact of ultraviolet, precipitation and dust sooner or later becomes the cause of the destruction of the protective layer. That's why the metal roof should be cleaned regularly.

1. Dirt and dry leaves are washed off with a damp, fleecy brush.
2. Special cleaning agents for polymer surfaces can be used to remove more complex contaminants.
3. Do not use aggressive chemicals - they can destroy the protective layer.
4. Drains are cleaned by a jet of water under pressure. The jet should be directed from the ridge to the cornices.
5. To clean the roof of snow, you can use only those tools that in principle are unable to damage the coating.
