Description of plaster for aerated concrete

Plaster for cellular concrete - has the appearance of a dry mixture containing special additives, thanks to which it is equipped with excellent performance characteristics. These characteristics include: high vapor permeability, excellent adhesion, impact strength, frost resistance, water resistance, elasticity, thermal insulation.

This material is used both for finishing walls from gas silicate blocks, and for silicate and clay bricks, plaster, masonry. Suitable for dry, damp rooms. At the same time, the required temperature during work must be from + 5 ° C to + 30 ° C, and high humidity is also not desirable.

Many "builders" when choosing materials for aerated concrete, often make the mistake of choosing plaster, designed for finishing conventional facades, or simply guided by the principle "what is cheaper".You can not do this! Incorrectly selected plaster mixture for aerated concrete blocks can lead to a number of problems in the future( cracking, "swelling", peeling of the coating and others). So do not skimp on the material, but when buying, consult with a specialist.

Plastered walls of aerated concrete, we prepare the base and solution

Before the plastering of the gas-silicate walls is carried out, it is necessary to prepare the base. The surface must be clean, firm, dry and even. Old layers of lime, wax, paints, anti-adhesion agents are eliminated. If there are bitumen or grease stains, they are also removed.

Solution for plastering walls is prepared according to the recipe indicated on the package. Dry composition from the package is poured into a special container and diluted with warm water. Usually add 0.2 liters per 1 kg of material. Mix the mixture mechanically or manually. It is important to monitor the amount of water. Its excess is not allowed! In the end, you should get a creamy mass.

Plaster for gas-silicate( aerated concrete), we describe the technology

Plastering of walls from gas silicate blocks is carried out in several stages. We describe each of them.

At the initial stage the surface is treated with a primer. It is desirable that it be made on the basis of combinations of acrylate siloxane. It is better if it is a hydrophobizing or strengthening mixture. At the second stage, a network of alkali-resistant fiberglass is laid, which should have high tensile strength, a surface density of more than 200 g / m3, and resistance to stretching.

The third stage is the plastering of the walls. Guide rails are installed to apply an even layer. Further, with the help of the plaster aggregate or trowel, a solution is applied in one or two layers. If two layers are supposed, then the width of each layer should be 7 - 9 mm. If you want to make one, then its width can be 15 mm. The surplus solution is removed with a wooden float. Reiko smooth just applied plaster.

When the plaster of the facade of the house is dried, a grouting is done. Then fixing the entire surface layer with paint. It can be applied only after 2 days after plastering. Meanwhile, the paint should have the characteristics of vapor permeability and elasticity. Suitable types are: ATLAS ARKOL S, FASTEL and others.
