Laying the foundation
The installation of a metal garage begins, as well as the construction of any other building, from the foundation device. This structure is quite light, so you can make a strip foundation with a small depression of 15-20 centimeters. Also for these purposes, you can apply several reinforced concrete slabs, which will simultaneously act and floor.
The dimensions of the future garage will be the determining factor for the breakdown in place. Dimensions depend on the dimensions of the car, and for cars the optimal dimensions are as follows: length - 5.5 meters, width - 3.3 meters, height - 2.35 meters, gate dimensions - 3x1.95 meters. The marked area is cleared of vegetation, and ideally the upper layer of the soil is removed. On the perimeter, a trench breaks through the width and depth of the spade bayonet. Sand or gravel is poured onto its bottom and it is well trampled.
It is not necessary to make a foundation for the speakers, but it is still better if the garage is slightly elevated. To do this, formwork is made from the plinth, which must be leveled horizontally. If the base does not protrude, it must still be leveled.

The frame must be strong, rigid and stable. The material is usually a corner of a large section. Bond all the elements better by welding, but it is not forbidden to use a nut-bolted connection. Sheathing and laying of flooring
You can use steel sheets or corrugated sheeting as a covering material. The thickness of the metal should be at least 1.2 millimeters. The sheathing is fixed by welding, self-tapping screws or a nut-bolt joint to the crate. For the roof you can use the same material as for the walls. Fastening starts from the bottom sheets and gradually rises upwards. Overlapping of sheets should be not less than 15 centimeters. On the front side there are two stands under the gate.
The easiest way to make a floor is the floor on the padding. It is perfect for unheated rooms with low groundwater levels. It is made as follows:
- Sand is applied to the base with a thickness of 5 centimeters;
- Gravel with a thickness of 10 centimeters is poured from above;
- The surface is carefully ground and tamped;
- Then the foundation is made with paving stones, and the crevices are cemented with cement.
Important! The slope of the floor is 2 centimeters for every meter of length towards the gate. Gates can be swinging, sectional, sliding or roll.
