Easy inexpensive fences from the mesh are widely used for enclosure of country plots. You can install a fence from the mesh netting of anyone, having at your fingertips a minimum of tools. If you follow the installation technology and choose high-quality materials, this fence will last for 15-20 years. Before starting work, you need to study the types and characteristics of the grid, and also to study the instruction in detail in order to avoid mistakes.

mesh The mesh is made of black and galvanized wire, therefore the quality of the mesh is different. The grid of black wire is the cheapest and the most short-lived. It is covered with rust after the first fog or rain, and after 3-4 years comes to complete disrepair. Extend the life of the galvanized steel can using paint or liquid rubber, which should be applied to the grid before its installation, and then periodically update the protective layer.
A galvanized wire net of corrosion is not afraid, and therefore serves longer. It costs a little more than black, but does not need any protective treatment. Fences made of galvanized steel look neat and attractive.
Plasticized slabs are becoming more popular. This metal mesh is covered with a dense layer of anticorrosive polymer, due to which it has an increased resistance to weathering. In addition, the polymer is colored, the mesh looks very attractive and aesthetically pleasing. And although such a rabbit is quite expensive, the demand for it is constantly growing.
In addition to quality, the mesh netting differs in the size of the cells, the thickness of the wire and the height of the roll. The cells can have sizes from 10 to 65 mm, the diameter of the wire is 1-5 mm. The height of the roll is from 0.8 to 2 m, but the most popular one is 1.5 m. The standard length of the mesh in the roll is 10 m, rolls of 20 m are made on request. The smaller the cell, the more expensive the mesh,.
Types of fences from the mesh
The mesh fence of the mesh can be sectional and tension. The first option involves the manufacture of rectangular metal sections, inside of which a grid is fixed. For sections use metal corners, profile and round pipes of small diameter. Connect them with welding or bolts, if there is no welding machine. This fence looks more aesthetic and attractive, the metal frame does not allow the grid to sag.
Tension fence to install faster and easier;Its construction consists only of supporting pillars and the grid itself. Fasten the mesh with a steel wire, clamps or hang on welded to the pillars of hooks. Pipes of different diameters, concrete columns, wooden beams are suitable for poles.
Installation of fence posts
Both for sectional and tension fences, marking, preparation and installation of poles is done by the same technology, but only in the first case, the posts should be stronger. This is due to the additional load from the metal sections;if the supports are too thin, the fence must be skewed.
For work you will need:
- tape measure;
- wooden pegs;
- coil of thin rope;
- construction level;
- hand drill;
- rubble and sand;
- concrete solution;
- scrap;
- profile pipes 60x40 mm;
- Bulgarian;
- primer.
Step 1. Installation of corner posts
The fenced area is cleaned of vegetation, if necessary align, determine the location of the extreme poles. Experienced builders recommend that corner pillars be made of pipes with a larger cross-section than the intermediate ones, and digging them deeper. For example, if a 40x40 mm profile pipe is used for intermediate supports, then it is better to take 60x40 mm for angled ones and 15-20 cm longer for corners.
Begin the installation of poles:
- pipes are cleaned from scale and oil stains, primed, laid out to dry;
- with a hand drill make holes in the ground depth of 1.5 m;
- pour a layer of sand onto the bottom, tamp well;
- insert profile pipes into the wells;
- expose them to the level and strengthen them with brusks or bricks;
- fill the space in the pits with rubble mixed with soil at 2/3 of the depth, rammed;
- pour the remaining space with concrete solution;
- supports once again verifies the vertical of the posts, if necessary, they are leveled.
When the solution is slightly hardened, it is possible to remove the spacers and proceed with the marking for intermediate posts.
Step 2. Layout
Between the corner supports tightly pull the rope at a height of 15 cm from the ground - this will be the fence line. The line should be divided into equal segments corresponding to the width of the span. The optimal width of the span for the fence from the rabitsa is 2-2.5 m;if it is increased, the grid will necessarily sag. They retreat from the last post to the right distance and drive a peg into the ground, and so on to the opposite corner. All pegs must come in contact with the tensioned rope and be at an equal distance from each other.

pillars Step 3. Installation of the intermediate supports
Pile holes are drilled in place of the pegs and the bottom is covered with sand. To make it more convenient to control the height of the supports, one more rope is stretched along the upper edge of the corner posts. Now insert the pipes into the pits, equal in height and vertical, pour rubble and soil and densely compacted with crowbar. From above pour concrete and level the surface.
If it is planned to install a tension fence, and the ground is sufficiently dense in the area, the intermediate supports can simply be clogged into the ground and not concreted. To do this, holes are drilled at half the required depth, pipes are inserted in there and they are hammered with a sledge hammer. To protect the upper edge of the columns from deformation, take a piece of a larger pipe, weld a steel plate from one side and put it on top of the column. After driving the supports, the pits are covered with rubble and sand, spilled with water for better compaction and well punched.
Step 4. Welding of hooks
After about a week, when the concrete is sufficiently hardened, you can continue the installation. You can fix the grid on poles with wire or clamps, but it's more convenient to attach it to hooks. On sale there are profile pipes with already welded hooks, but if there is a welding machine, it's cheaper to make them yourself. To do this, fit pieces of steel rod, screws, nails, even thick wire - anything that can be welded to the pipe and bent. On a pole with a height of 2 m it is enough to make 3 hooks: at a distance of 15 cm from the ground, 10 cm from the top of the pipe and in the middle.

Fixing the tension fence
Step 1. Fixing the mesh
The roll of the mound is placed near the corner post, unwind a bit and put the cells on the hooks. To securely fix the edge of the grid, you need to take a piece of reinforcement with a cross section of 8 mm and a length of 1.5 m and pass it into the cells of the first row. After that, the reinforcement is attached to the pipe and welded. Now, when the roll is tensioned, the mesh will not bend. After fixing the end of the net, the roll is transferred to the next support, gently unwinding it.
After retreating from the junction of the mound with the pipe 10-15 cm, the cells are again passed through a steel rod. This time, it is not necessary to weld it, it simply helps to stretch the mesh evenly. When the grid is put on the hooks, the rod is removed, the roll is unwound for one more span, again the reinforcement is threaded and so on until the very end of the fence. To connect two webs, wire is used from the outer vertical row of one of the rolls.
Step 2. Fixing the web from the sagging
Even a well-stretched fabric hangs over time, so during the installation phase, you need to take care of additional fixing of the masonry between the posts. You will need a wire with a cross section of 6 mm and a welding machine. The wire is passed to the second or third row of cells horizontally along the entire fence. In the places where the mesh fits to the poles, the wire is welded. Then the bottom edge of the net is strengthened in exactly the same way, and finally the hooks are bent. Now the canvas is securely fixed on the supports and will not sag and sag.
mesh Step 3. The final stage of the
When the fence is installed, it is necessary to perform the finishing strokes:
- put the plastic plugs on top of the pipes;
- color bricks;
- the upper tendrils of the rabbita twist in pairs in 2 turns and bend downward.
This is the installation of the tension fence.

Assembly of the section fence
Step 1. Production of the frame
A rectangular frame is made from a 40x50 mm angle. The width of the frame is 15 cm less than the width of the span, the length is 10 cm less than the height of the elevated part of the column. The grid is cut with a bulgarian according to the size of the section, and the reinforcement is also cut with a section of 8 mm. At the edge of the wall, the reinforcement is threaded into the cells and welded to it from the inside of the section. After this, the frame is grinded, wiped from dust, ground.
can be used. Step 2. Preparation of
stands. Cut rectangular plates of 20x5 cm and thickness of 4-5 mm from sheet steel. Take one plate, apply perpendicular to the pole at a height of 20 cm from the ground and weld. The second plate is welded at the top, retreating from the edge of 15-20 cm. Similarly, the plates are attached to the rest of the supports.
Step 3. Assembling the sections
The first section is placed between the posts, raised and leveled. Then weld the sides to the plates and proceed to the next span. It is very important to correctly align the sections in height, so that the upper crossbeams of the frame form a single line. After installing all sections, clean up the welding places, ground and paint the fence frame.
