Pile-and-tile slabs are widely used for interior decoration of premises - they are walled, from which interroom partitions are easily and quickly installed. Plates can also be used for exterior finishing of surfaces. In fact, they are a good alternative to the usual already drywall. The basis of these plates is the same gypsum. Special additives increase the life of this building material and give it strength.
The main difference between slabs and sheet drywall consists in the fact that a groove is made at their ends, which reduces the assembly time of the structure and increases the density of the joint of the individual slabs. It is because of this that the slab of the slab is called pile-and-groove. The grooves can be either trapezoidal( in diameter), or rectangular. Plates gazogrebnevye come in two types: moisture resistant( hydrophobic) and conventional. Also plates( GWP) are produced in two versions - full body and hollow.
Solid plates are more durable, but hollow plates are easier to install( their weight is a quarter less) and can provide better sound insulation of the room. Mounting plates is carried out by ordinary gluing, which allows all the work to be done very quickly and without accompanying construction debris. The installation in two layers of plates is applied, which increases the strength of the partition. The use of such boards allows not to carry out such work as plastering the surface.
General characteristics
- the material is not afraid of humidity and is not subject to rotting;
- is environmentally friendly, since no harmful additives are used in production technology;
- GWP are incombustible;therefore, they are recommended for use in fire hazardous areas;
- plates are a good insulator, since they do not conduct electric current.
Technical specifications
- sound insulation of the order of 44 dB
- plate thickness 80 mm
- When constructing double partitions the recommended thickness of the air gap
- 40 mm
- dimensions of the PGP 667 x 500 mm
When installing the PGP, it must be taken into account that the plates must be uniform. The facilities of this material occupy considerably less space. At the same time, there is no need to organize additional reinforcement of openings, if their width is not more than 90 cm, which greatly simplifies the work.
Due to the fact that the slabs have fixed dimensions, there is no need to carry out careful measurements and calculations. Installation of GWP is easily performed even by a non-specialist.
