Decorative mineral plaster, we master the technology of application with the help of a mixed-mix pump

Scope

Mineral decorative plaster is suitable for both internal and external work. It can be used to create an original design indoors, as well as for finishing facades. After application, it has a uniform, slightly rough structure.

Suitable bases: brick, concrete, aerated concrete walls, plasterboard and gypsum fiber boards, gypsum and cement blocks and other surfaces. A mandatory requirement for each substrate is a preliminary primer.

The substrate must meet the following requirements: to be strong, even, with a uniform absorbent structure. The presence of fungus, mold, dirt, dust and rust is not allowed. All this is removed before application. Also, the substrate should have a slightly rough surface for better adhesion.

Typical features of mineral plaster

Mineral plaster - is a ready-made dry mixture consisting of natural components( slaked lime, white cement, quartz sand). The mixture is delivered mainly in packages or special buckets. Has the following properties:

  • High resistance to various atmospheric precipitations and weather phenomena.
  • Resistant to all kinds of harmful substances.
  • Has good thermal insulation characteristics.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Has an excellent vapor permeability.
  • Allows you to create all kinds of surface design types.

Application technology

As mentioned above, the surface must be smooth, dry and clean before application. The substrate temperature should be between +5 and +30 ° C.On the surface of the base are attached beacon profiles, as well as protective corner profiles at external corners. Apply a primer depending on the type of surface.

Then prepare the plaster solution according to the recipe indicated on the package. The solution can be applied with a special mortar mixing pump .To do this, stand sideways to the machined surface, in one hand hold a solution gun, and in the other hand a hose. The air valve is opened and pauses for 10-30 seconds before the solution appears. After filling deep depressions and holes, and then the lines of corners and the surface of the walls.

In this case, the solution is applied in compliance with certain rules. The hose is important to keep at a distance of approximately 50 cm from the gun. Hold the solution gun perpendicular to the surface to be treated. Apply the plaster mortar to the walls in the direction from left to right and top to bottom. On the ceiling - from the side, which is opposite to the windows, and from left to right. The length of the applied strip should be about 70 cm. After applying the mixture over the entire surface, the air valve closes.

In the last stages, we trim, smooth and gloss. It is also possible to decorate by creating various drawings. Trimming is performed after 90-120 minutes after mixing. Using a trapezoidal rule, the surface is leveled. Thus, the excess is cut off and some depressions are filled.

Smoothing is necessary in case of surface preparation for further painting. To do this, rub the plaster with a spongy grater, which is abundantly moistened with water. After the surface becomes matte, it begins to smooth with a wide metal spatula. Gloss is carried out within a day after smoothing. For this, the base is wetted and smoothed with a metal float.
