The purpose of the frame anchors

Technical features made the frame anchor the most popular fasteners having a large scope of use. The initial scope of application was the installation of window frames and door frames of various materials to the wall of concrete blocks or simple bricks.

Today, the anchor has become almost universal, so it is suitable for fixing even wooden blocks to all sorts of grounds. For example, in a small room you can mount the floor with the help of anchors.

When using them, it is worthwhile to worry about the quality of the structure and its technical characteristics, which cause a low load on the structure. Because it is worth to understand that it can not withstand heavy objects, and the maximum allowable volume is not more than 30 kg.

In the case of fasteners there is a metal sleeve, which when screwed into the wall is jammed, can not turn, which ensures the fastening of the fasteners. This nut opens a nut that has a conical shape.

In addition, there is a hat on the anchor, which can be screwed with a conventional screwdriver. It should be cranked to the extent that it does not completely hide in the cover. Often, these structures are assembled using a curved screwdriver( cross), which makes it easy to create fastening structures even in hard-to-reach corners.

When selecting the fasteners, you should consider certain properties and parameters.

Requirement 1: Material for the anchor

When choosing an anchor, it is worth paying attention to products made of galvanized steel, stainless steel and brass. Depending on the design environment of the design, choose the fastener material.

Brass fittings are suitable for dry rooms and structures with low load. Most often, these anchors are chosen in cases where they are part of the decorative composition or camouflage attachments are not possible.

Steel anchors are strong, but are used only in a dry environment.

Stainless fasteners are robust, reliable and non-corrosive. They can be used in rooms with high humidity.

Requirement 2: Shape and length of the

. Depending on the tasks that the fastening structure must perform, choose the length of the stud( for heavy structures, choose long models). It is also worth considering the thickness of the wall. The more it is, the longer the hairpin should be.

Requirement 3:

spacer properties The most important technological parameter for all fasteners is the bushing capability. According to the requirements, its thickness should be not less than 1 mm, since in the opposite case it is possible to forget about the reliability of fastening.

Requirement 4: bolt body length

There are several standards for this requirement: small size - 8( bushing diameter) x 74( length of hairpin) mm, and maximum size - 8 x 174 mm.

How to properly mount the anchorage: tools

  1. Drill and drill( 8 mm circumference)
  2. Screwdriver( cross and standard)
  3. hammer

Instructions for installing

mounts Step 1: Mounting the frame into the hole in the

wall Before reinforcing the window frame, align it correctly with the spacers in relation to the horizontal and vertical alignment. For this, use special frame linings and wooden wedges. They are hammered with a hammer under the frame so that it steadily becomes in the opening. To check the smoothness, apply the construction level and with easy tapping of the hammer, eliminate all irregularities in the desired direction.

Step 2: Marking the location of the

Fasteners This step involves marking out the locations for the fixing bolts after the frame is locked with wedges. For a medium-sized window, you can place just four points, and the window opening will be securely fastened. Naturally, for a large frame, more bolts and fastening points are required. There is a standard by which the fasteners should be 30 cm from the corner of the window block at the top and bottom. As for the "sweaty", then, often, it is already available, but if not, it can be done easily by using a conventional drill.

Step 3: Assemble the fasteners with bolts

The following steps are performed with the drill, which requires drilling the frame( wooden) so that it drills a couple of millimeters into the concrete. Then in each hole, place the anchors and twist them with a Phillips screwdriver. The fastening action is performed as follows: on the one hand, the braking and fixing element is a cone-shaped nut, and on the other hand - the bolt cap. At the end of the installation of the window frame, when the anchors are tightened, fill all the slots that appeared from the drill with the mounting foam or silicone.
