The machine for making vagonki - prepare the finishing material yourself

Manufacture of self-carpets - why more and more often do we make such a choice?

The wall, lined with lining, has a smooth and smooth surface with a distinctive wood texture. In addition to performing purely design functions, it contributes to the successful solution of many engineering and economic tasks. Being an excellent soundproofing, lining made of larch is used for finishing concert halls.

The wall walled by it does not require preliminary alignment, and the gap between the wood surface and the wall can be filled with heat-insulating material without preliminary preparation. The lining of natural wood is durable and not susceptible to temperature changes.

It easily adapts to the humidity of the environment, absorbing its excesses in inclement weather and compensating for its lack in the heat. Impregnated with special compounds and covered with a protective layer of varnish, it is not susceptible to the effects of atmospheric phenomena and for decades does not change the appearance.

Manufacture of lining in the home - choose wood

The name of this finishing board has come down to us from the times when it was lined with the walls of freight wagons. Already in those days, it was subjected to increased demands for a dense slit-free fit of the boards. Undoubtedly, modern lining essentially differs from its predecessor.

The very technology of pre-treatment of wood has changed, equipment for the manufacture of lining has been improved. The function of obtaining a continuous surface from ecologically pure natural material, reminding us of unity with nature, has remained unchanged.

Lining is made of different types of wood depending on its intended use. Most of it is made from coniferous wood species, such as spruce, larch, pine. Less often, deciduous species are produced: linden, alder, aspen.

On the lining of pine go boards cut from the bottom of the tree, which achieves the minimum possible number of knots. This wood is durable and easy to process, which allows you to adjust the production of lining in the home.

Strips from northern spruce have hard and dense wood. As a rule, they are used for wall and ceiling plating. The color of the wood is light, with the passage of time a little darkening.

The larch finish is comparable in strength to oak battens: it does not turn blue and does not decay, it has a high thermal insulation ability, it is fireproof and durable. Taking into account the exceptional strength of the wood, the cutters for the manufacture of larch lining must always be sharply sharpened.

Wooden laths from linden and alder practically do not emit tar and have low density, which makes them well suited for sauna, where it is very undesirable to strongly heat the walls. Many craftsmen, who took up the manufacture of the vagonki with their own hands, forget to immediately cover it with varnish after treatment, because of which the board becomes dark.

The machine for making the lining with your own hands

In order to avoid the above incidents, below we will consider how to make the lining yourself .For this purpose, you need a milling or planer machine with a capacity of at least a kilowatt. Making racks is most convenient from a dry edged board with a width of seven to ten centimeters.

First, you need to plan the board on one side, and after that make grooves( grooves) in its ends. To do this, you need milling cutters or a small saw circle. The board must constantly touch its ruler with its planed side - this is a guarantee that the cut-through grooves will be parallel to each other.

Propyltened on both sides of the board grooves do not necessarily have to be located strictly in the middle - they may be slightly closer to the front side of the lining. But it is important, having chosen one principle of their arrangement, to adhere to it to the end, that at installation all rejki have turned out located uniformly.
