Application of

material The boards are used for internal curtain walls in buildings and assembly of partitions, and they are also ideal for the installation of interior partitions. They are very popular due to the ease of installation and, of course, because of the huge degree of moisture resistance and environmental friendliness. Such products are also used for cladding, playing the role of additional protection.

Gypsum boards are used in construction and repair work in premises with different areas and purposes. They are an excellent combination of optimum cost and high quality. The material can be used to erect curtain walls in buildings with a high level of humidity, and, unlike foam blocks, gypsum boards have a higher sound insulation and fire-resistant characteristics.

Important! When buying plates, it is necessary to take into account the humidity and temperature differences in the room.

Construction of partitions from

plates Partitions made of gypsum boards are made from 50 to 75 millimeters in thickness, from 800 to 1500 mm in length, and from 300 to 500 mm in width. All edges are produced only with certain grooves or one groove and a crest. Plates are cast from a dry mixture of gypsum with added filler - sawdust, slag, chopped resin, etc. Slag grains should not have a diameter greater than 25 mm.

For example, 4 parts slag and 1 part gypsum are used for casting. A mixture of these materials is mixed and closed by water to a certain density. On the workbench are fixed rails of the necessary thickness with grooves and ridges, making them of form and fastening. To avoid adhering the solution to the slats, they are lubricated with an emulsion( usually soap) or grease.

The previously prepared mass is poured into the mold and placed in thin beams along the whole plate and across. The mass is leveled, then it must grasp and take a more solid state. After this, the slats are removed, and the finished product is detached from the fabric and set to dry.

For direct mounting of partitions, dry and wet plates are used. To ensure greater strength in the horizontal grooves of the partition, a steel fixture, varnished, or wooden beams of a certain size is installed. After this, the septum is covered or treated with another protective layer.

Important! It is necessary to carefully take measurements of the plates necessary for erecting partitions.

Use of the material as decor elements

Plaster gypsum boards are often used to decorate the inside of walls and ceilings. During the production of the product, a gypsum binder is used, into which can be added:

  • aggregates;
  • special dyes.

To increase strength, the product is reinforced with galvanized metal, fiberglass or other material. When checking for bending, all the plates can withstand a huge load.

The front side of the decorative plates can be painted or not painted, with relief patterns or absolutely smooth. To ensure the hydrophobic properties of the front surface it is treated with special waterproofing compounds. For fixing the material, the same methods as for conventional gypsum boards are used.

As a binder for decorative plates, phosphogypsum can be used. When choosing plates as an element of decor, you need to make sure that the style of the pattern and the color that prevails on the surface of the slab match.
