What functions does priming do?
Primer composition is necessary when creating a surface layer prepared for painting, for a strong and reliable connection of base materials with paint coating. Also, you can often hear about glue compounds and ways of priming plasters, concrete, etc.
Primer can reveal the decorative structure of the wood, after which there is varnishing. In addition, such formulations often combine the performance of anticorrosive functions. Most often they are used for the painting of metal products( different marmots, crowns).

Primer GF 021 - basic properties of
This primer is a modern material, it has alkyd varnishes and solvents as its basis. Primer GF 021 reddish-brown has anti-corrosive properties thanks to the contained pigments, desiccants and stabilizers.
It is most often used to provide further processing by staining with enamels, etc. It is very easy to use: for skimmed metal or wood it is applied by brush, spray, bathing, spraying, etc.
If necessary, the fluidity of the condition of the GF 21 primer can be easily increased. Solvents, white spirit, xylenes, turpentines and mixtures thereof are suitable as solvents for this purpose. In the case of applying the coloring technique, suitable diluents( РЭ-4В, РЭ-3В) are suitable in the electric field. In addition, it should be taken into account the high versatility of this primer application.
Like the red-brown primer GF 021 gray can be used for many enamels and paints based on them, or as an independent coloring coating. In principle, the color of the composition does not matter much. Moreover, when drying, the applied layer can have a matte or slightly glossy film.
The layer is easy to grind, with increased demands and the need to create a flat plane. At the same time, its peculiarity is that scrap sand does not accumulate on the surface of the abrasive.
Features of the primer layer
Materials painted with a primer can be used in operating conditions with different climatic and atmospheric influences. Its layer is resistant to the compositions for lubrication and technical oil. At the same time, the film does not contain substances harmful to human health.
It dries up within 24 hours, but in case of finishing coatings, an additional three-hour exposure is required. If the primer is dried in heat chambers, then at a temperature of about one hundred degrees Celsius, the layer dries about half an hour.
Approximately one hundred grams per square meter of space is used, with high opacity, uniformity and strength of the layer. The GF 0119 primer also has very similar properties. However, it is more economical in consumption, it dries half as fast, and its application is not limited to priming only.
This compound can also be used to provide anti-corrosion protection measures for dimensional metal parts and structures during their transportation, installation or storage. The general rules for the use of formulations are compliance with precautionary measures, fire safety, ventilation( when working in enclosed spaces), protective clothing, etc.
