Rims for PVC panels - what will we talk about?
In addition to commercial and residential premises, the lath makes it possible to fasten panels in rooms with high humidity, in places of temperature fluctuations and unheated rooms. It is not deformed and can be used repeatedly, since it does not leave any damage.
You can make a crate of wooden racks or purchase plastic, on which the panels are fixed using special clips. In addition, now many have started using a metal profile to install the frame.
In practice it became clear that the tree is not the best material for the crate. Since there are almost no joints between panels of PVC joints, any gap during deformation of the carcass will become very noticeable.
Distinctions of a plastic crate from wooden:
- allows to make fast installation, panels are snapped by clips to a rail;
- resistance to dampness, mold and fungi are not formed;
- can be used as a cable duct for wiring;
- is fireproof.
Creation of a crate - preparatory parts for the
In order to make a crate, you need to follow some tips.
- The distance between the slats must be observed. Ideally, it should be 30 cm, but not more than 50 cm.
- Reiki should be installed perpendicularly to the plastic panels. If the panel will be fixed vertically, then the bar should be positioned horizontally, and vice versa.
- Do it not only at the beginning and at the end of the work surface, but also around the window and doorways.
For the installation of the frame, there is no need for preliminary surface preparation. To make a crate for PVC panels, you need to prepare the necessary tools and materials: an electric drill, a screwdriver or a screwdriver, a construction level( for leveling racks in vertical and horizontal planes), a wood saw, plumb, gon, chair, tape measure.
The
material should be the following: : straight wooden slats or 30x10 beams( for interior works) and 30x20( for façade work), metal profiles or special PVC profiles, drill bits with a dowel diameter, screws, chalk( for marking).
Curb under the PVC panel - get down to work
Mounting the frame for fixing the panels is the most important stage of the work. The type of room will depend on the straightness and correctness of the supporting structures. If wooden slats are used, they should be chosen without twigs, the most straight, and the humidity should not be more than 18%.
If the room has a high humidity, then in the racks you need to make small cuts so that the air can circulate. Once everything is ready, you can proceed with the perimeter markup. Perform it should be the same as for a different kind of frame, starting from the most bulging point.
Using chalk, tape measure and a straight rail, it is necessary to put out contours on which the crate under the PVC panel will be installed. Then, using a plumb, electric drill and level, mount the slats and fix them with screws and dowels to the work surface. The distance between the slats on the wall should be 40-50 cm, on the ceiling 30-40 cm.
If the wall is uneven, then the lath is leveled using wooden or veneered pads. Usually there is space between the wall and the frame, which can be filled with a heater if desired. It will provide room heat and sound insulation. After the installation of the frame is completed, you can proceed to install the panels.
