The main advantages of the indirect heating system
The indirect heating system is gaining popularity among residents of multi-storey houses these days. An indirect heater, unlike a direct heater, supplies your apartment with hot water from central heating, and a direct heater in turn, heats the water from electricity or gas. An indirect heating boiler is a tank in the form of a rectangle or cube, which is usually installed directly under the boiler, from a heat-insulating material. Inside this tank is a steel or brass heat exchanger, through which water flows from the heating boiler. Through the outlet for hot and cold water inlet the boiler is connected to the central water supply system.
Indirect heating has the following advantages in domestic use:
- A boiler of this type will not overload the electrical wiring during the peak of the heating season.this system does not consume electricity;
- Light hand wizard will allow you to properly build the device into the system, thereby optimizing the cost ratio;
- Recirculation allows hot water to flow immediately after the crane is opened, thanks to the constant heating of the loop loop along which the water moves;
- The heat carrier, like the internal surface of the tank with running water, does not interact, which will ensure long-term use of the boiler system.
The main thing to look for when choosing a boiler for indirect heating is the volume of the tank. Conventionally, one person needs about 90 liters of hot water.
Indirect heating system device
The heat exchanger device is shown in the diagram below, in which:
- electrical connection cover;
- the warm water outlet tube;
- magnesium anode;
- circulation;
- cold water outlet tube;
- outlet hole;
- tubular heat exchanger;
- insulation made of polyurethane( about 42 mm without freon);
- water heater cover;
- thermostat sleeve;
- steel or brass enameled tank;
- temperature indicator( thermostat with external control unit).
The operating principle of the indirect heater is shown in the diagram below.
From the source of the heating water( boiler), water enters the tank of the water heater. Back to the boiler comes back cold water.
Water heaters of this type are designed for vertical connection. It should be noted that it is desirable that your indirect heating boiler has a tenon, which in an emergency will provide heating of the water from the power grid or other third-party energy source. And one of the most profitable sources of energy is a gas boiler, which is completed with a boiler during installation.
Installation of a boiler with a gas boiler
The light hand of a master will connect any third-party source of energy to the indirect heating system. But any specialist who connected this system in your home will tell you about the advantages of a gas column - the most stable and economical heater. But this option will be most convenient if you live in your own house, and not in the apartment.
The gas water heater is installed next to the indirect heating boiler. Connecting the water heater to the gas boiler has the following features:
- Presence and installation of an additional circulating pump and expansion tank;
- Availability of a good ventilation system.
How to connect a gas boiler is described in more detail in the video.
With a gas water heater, stable heating and hot water will never become your problem!
