National version of the mixture
Clay mortar for furnaces is a refractory mixture based on clay, and the filler is natural sand with a maximum grain of 1.5 millimeters. It is very easy to use and at the same time has good technological properties. Used for laying wood stoves and chimneys.
It is not recommended to work with such material at temperatures below +5 degrees. The temperature of the brick and mortar must also be more than +5.Bricks are used only dry and with the properties of moisture absorption. Masonry is done with a 10-13 millimeter weld or with an open seam for further filling it with a mixture. It is necessary to carry out the work with observance of all norms of performance of masonry works and requirements of the project.
After the end of work, the temperature should be kept above +5 degrees for five days. Use the design can only after 2-3 weeks after the solution dries completely. During drying, all dampers and latches should be open. The first warm-up is done carefully, for example, you can simply blow out warm air. The next five days warming up is made by weak fire.
Important! During all the heating procedures, the flaps and valves must be open.
Modern mortar for masonry
A warm masonry mix is also represented by a refractory masonry mortar. This is a refractory mixture that consists of soluble glass and quartz sand with a grain size of no more than 0.5 millimeters. The mixture is very easy to use and has high technical characteristics. It is used for laying fireplaces and stoves indoors.
As well as clay mortar, the refractory mixture can not be used at temperatures below +5 degrees. Masonry is made by a seam in 1-2 millimeters. The chemical setting of the solution takes place at room temperature, and the ceramic setting is at a minimum at +700 degrees. Before the start of use, the entire structure is dried for 2-3 weeks with open latches and flaps. The heating is carried out in the same way as in the previous case.
Note! The peculiarity of this solution is that strong and reliable setting occurs only at high temperatures.

oven The thermal insulation mix must be applied strictly according to the norms of use. The technology of masonry is carried out in the following sequence:
- Before starting work, all the bricks are soaked in water;
- A mix for masonry is prepared. To do this, one or two bags of the mixture are poured into the container. With constant stirring, little water is added. The consistency of the mortar must be such that during the laying it is under the weight of bricks and from the slight pressure of the hand it protrudes;
- The joint thickness should be 2-3 millimeters. The thinner will be the seam, so the clutch will be stronger.
After the seam has hardened, it has the property of expanding to a degree equal to refractory brick when heated. This is due to the composition of the solution and helps to avoid cracks in the masonry during the exploitation of furnaces and fireplaces. One bag of the mixture must be calculated on an average of forty bricks.
