What is an acrylic liner?
In a nutshell - it's a ready-made stamped product, in form coinciding with a standard bathroom. It is made of a sheet of sanitary acrylic, which has a thickness of 7 mm. The manufacturer is a German firm Gebau. It was in Austria more than forty years ago there was a technology called "Bath in the bath".
About the characteristics and the price of

How to install your own hands
First get rid of all the elements that are in the old bathroom. Next, they dismantle the tile edging. Drilled holes in the acrylic liner in places of drain-overflow. In the bathroom, sealant is applied to these places for hermetic sealing. A special foam is spread over the entire surface of the bath and a liner is laid on it. Mount the grates on the drain holes. Decorate the bath on the sides and edges.
There is another option - liquid acrylic. It is ideal for non-standard, that is, for those baths that do not fit liners. At the same time, all work is done on site: the old bath is not dismantled. On its surface after cleaning, apply liquid acrylic. It can remain white or the customer chooses the color to his liking.
Reviews of this insert are not always good:
- does not hold heat;
- the bath lost in volume;
- appeared mold and a bad smell;
- in places of drain-overflow the insert departs;
- becomes very slippery to swim. Because of what increases the risk of injury.
