PILE AND THE FINAL FOUNDATION: THAN THE FIRST IS BETTER THAN THE SECOND?
Comparing the technological process of creating a pile foundation with the technological process of creating a columnar foundation, they come to the conclusion that the former is more suited to the requirements of modern construction than the latter. The disadvantage of the second is a longer preparation, which is not always permissible in terms of implementing the construction plan. The pile foundation eliminates this problem. The process begins with the drilling of wells of a certain diameter, installation of reinforcing elements in them, filling with concrete. The well can be created either manually or with the help of a drill.
WELLS UNDER THE Piles
Piles are placed around the perimeter of the object under construction. Their number is determined by the total weight of the building and the operational load. Depending on the loads that act on the various elements of the structure( floor, walls, roof, partitions, etc.), and the operating time, select one or the other diameter of the inner piles.
When calculating the pit size, take into account that manual means can dig a pit with a maximum size of 3 m. The use of a drill with an adjustable length of hoses allows you to delve more than 5 meters. Wells with a diameter of 6 m can not be made a manual drill, therefore it is recommended to use motor and electric drills.
THE PROCESS OF CONCRETE AND PILLOW PILLING
After the process of pit digging and the selection of the number of piles is completed, the preparation of roofing pipes of a certain size is completed. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the following fact: the length of pipes should exceed the depth of the well by 3 meters. The formwork is created using the upper parts of pipes, which are created from three layers of ruberoid, connected by steel wire. The finished formwork is lowered into the well. Now let's look at the reinforcement process. The frame made of reinforcement is made with the help of rods, the diameter of which is not less than 6 mm. They are fastened with cross-bars, each of which has a size of 6 m. In order to more efficiently connect the column with the grill, the rod of the reinforcement is located just below the height of the grillage. To do this, just lower the rod a couple of centimeters.
When the reinforcement process is completed, proceed to pour concrete. In the well, concrete is poured in batches so that the formed layer does not exceed 5 meters in height. ORGANIZATION OF THE GROWING
Two types of grills are used in the construction of the pile foundation. The first is a team of reinforced concrete beams, the second one is monolithic.
To properly build a grillage, the following recommendations should be adhered to:
- The height should not be more than 3 m.
- The width of the grillage in the single-row pile order should be equal to the width of the basement. In the absence of such, the thickness of the bearing walls on the first floor is guided. However, the width should not exceed 4 m.
If the grillage is assembled from prefabricated parts, special attention should be paid to the secure attachment to the head of the piles. In order to realize this, when concreting the pile, an additional element is inserted into the structure - the rod of the T-shape. The pile head should be covered horizontally with an additional rod made of reinforcement, to which the restraining plates are welded. The width of the plates is selected so that it does not exceed the width of the pile. Remember that the height of the head should be enough to capture both the pillar and the mounted part of the grillage. After this, the formed joint is concreted, and the protruding reinforcing elements are welded to the mounting loops. When the process is completed, the seams are poured with concrete or cement.
Before proceeding with the installation of walls, it is recommended to check the level at which the grillage is located. If necessary, they are equilibrated with cement mortar, so that the level corresponds to the same marks. The final step in verifying the correctness of the building plan will be to measure the diagonals and all sides.
