Before you begin to strengthen the sheets of corrugated board on the roof, you need to make a crate.
The most convenient way to make it from wooden bars. They are easier to mount, and their price is much lower than the metal counterparts.

You can use beams from alder, oak, aspen, fir or pine to make the crate. Before you begin the installation of the beams, they need to be treated with an antiseptic so that the fungus does not appear on the roof in the future. What is corrugated board?

Using this tool, you will destroy the protective layer of the sheet and ruin the layer of insulation applied by the plant. This will lead to the fact that the corrugated board will quickly become obsolete, and you will have to repair the roof, which will begin to leak.

How to fasten sheets of corrugated board to each other?

Begin the installation from the bottom corner of the roof end. The lower row is laid in such a way that its edges hang about 4 cm from the roof. The first row is fastened with screws. The point where you need to screw the self-cut - the bottom of the wave. Screw the screws into the waves through one.

When working on the sides of the building, it is necessary to use the wind corners, with which the boards are sewn up from the butt. Mount sheets can be both along and across, it depends on which method is more convenient for you personally. The sides should be sewn with a special sheet, after you have laid the entire row. All sheets of corrugated sheets should be overlapped.
If the direction of the sheets is vertical, then the top sheet should cover the bottom sheet by at least 20 cm. If the pitch of the wave does not allow this, you need to make a larger overlap, but in such a way that the waves coincide.
When the horizontal laying of sheets of corrugated sheet, the sheet located on top should cover the bottom sheet by the wavelength. If you use a gasket-sealer, it is better to cover by the length of two waves.
If the angle of the roof slope exceeds 16 degrees, a seal should be used.

What is a gasket?

This is a special gasket, which is necessary so that snow does not clog between the corrugated sheets. It also protects against wind and rain. The point is that the sealer forces the sheets of corrugated board to fit tightly to the crate. Sealants are sold ready. You need to choose them in relation to the shape of the wave of your corrugated board.

How to properly fix the sheets of corrugated board on the roof?

Place the sheets from the edge. One sheet is fastened from the center of the edge using self-tapping screws. It is better to fix it to one screwdriver. This is done with the purpose to be able to fix the sheets. The following sheets are attached to it with an overlap and are also fixed with one screwdriver. This is done for the purpose that it is possible to correct the series if it turns out to be uneven. Then you can secure the sheets securely.

After the series is corrected, it is necessary to fix the sheets on the crest of the wave, and the joints are fixed with one screwdriver on two sheets. This is done in every deepening of the wave.

Fastening of the first sheet is done in the following way: the longitudinal connection is made along the crest of the wave, the step is 500 mm, and the vertical joints are fixed in each wave bottom.

At one meter in the square, you will take about five screws. This consumption is the most optimal.
Mounting of the ridge and end plate should be carried out only after the main cloth has been securely fixed.
