Modern tools and materials have simplified country life so much that works that until recently seemed difficult can now be applied even to women and the elderly. It is very simple to wall-in a dacha section with a fence made of a wooden or metal fence for a few days today. At the same time, one can not only save money, but also experience an incomparable pleasure from effective physical work!
Getting started, it is necessary to think about what the future fence should look like, measure the perimeter of the site, which must be fenced, calculate the number of necessary building materials, estimate labor intensity and duration of work.
Selecting building materials
For picking out fences, cross bars with fastenings, the fence itself and self-tapping screws for its fastening, as well as paint or stain, if the fence needs painting.
The fundamental question is the choice between wood and metal. Of course, the wooden fence is more ecological, but it rarely serves more than 7-10 years. Therefore, recently many people stop at the metal fence, which also looks rather aesthetically pleasing, but relieves owners of all "fence-building" concerns for decades. Since the main load does not lie on a fence, but on poles and poles, combining metal poles and cores from a profile pipe with a wooden fence will also create a very durable fence, preserving the beauty of the tree. But at the same time it is important to remember that when it gets wet, the tree becomes heavy and increases the load on poles and veins, - for such a fence it is necessary to secure the pillars securely and to purchase veins of dense metal.
Having defined the material and knowing the perimeter of the site, it is easy to calculate the number of building materials.
In the market of construction materials, metal lagoons( lengths from 2 to 12 meters) are offered. To ensure that the workload is not too heavy, it is better to make the distance between the posts not more than 3-4 meters. Thus, for every 30 m of the fence there are 10 poles and 20 lobes 3 m long each. As the pillars, a metal pipe is usually used, which is fixed in the ground with cement mortar. A special plug is placed on top of the pipe.
A ready-made metal fence, commercially available, usually has a width of 10-12 cm. The distance between the fender depends on the location and purposes of the fence installation - the fence can be made more dense or rarer at your discretion. If you take a distance equal to the width of the fence, then for each linear meter of the picket fence you need 5 pcs, for 30 meters - about 150 pcs.
Wooden fence has different sizes - from 2 cm wide.
In addition, a fastening is required. Metal veins are sometimes attached to poles by welding, but this is not very practical, as it causes rusting. Therefore, it is better to purchase special fasteners.
Attach the fence with the best galvanized screws. They are easily screwed using a screwdriver.
Preparing the construction site
To make the fence beautiful and smooth, no need to spare time for the preliminary marking of the construction site. Clear the perimeter of the site: remove the remnants of the old fence, mow the grass, if necessary align the uneven ground so that nothing interferes with the work. Fix strong pegs at the extreme points of the fenced area and pull a rope between them, showing a straight line along which the fence should line up. Now, using the tape measure, mark the places of the future pillars with small pegs. Please note that the distance between the poles should correspond to the length of the acquired struts, taking into account the width of the post and the fastening - check this on the first two spans of the fence, so as not to alter the marking in the future. When the layout is ready, you can remove the rope and get to work.
Under each pole in place of pegs we excavate a pit not less than 50 cm deep. We establish the post strictly vertically - here it is better not to trust the eye, but to check with a level or plumb line - and concreate the pit. To the post did not squint, you need to make temporary struts that will support it, until the concrete mixture has solidified.Post Installation Process
We are assembling the
construction. The last stage of the fence construction should be started, when the poles will be held firmly in the solidified concrete mix. Wait 1-2 days after installing the poles.
Further actions remind the assembly of the children's designer. Install the fasteners to the posts. With the help of self-tapping we attach the veins to the fasteners. After that, it is better to mark the places of attachment of the fence on the lodges with a pencil or marker - so it will be more convenient to monitor the observance of the required distance between the fence. Now it remains only to screw the fence to the veins with a screwdriver.
fencing process The metal fence is usually sold with a polymer coating, so it does not need to be painted. If a wooden fence is used for the construction of the fence, it is better to cover it with stain or a special antiseptic for wood, so that it retains its natural color longer and does not rot.
