Why do you need garden paths?

How to make paths in a garden of stone?

It is necessary to hammer pegs into the ground and pull the cord between them.

But before laying the sidewalks in the country, it is necessary to remove the turf in pegged spaces, as in the photo, with a shovel. In doing so, it is necessary to carefully trim the edges of such a shallow ditch.

To keep the stone tile as tight as possible, a pillow consisting of sand should be made under it in the moat - its thickness should be at least 10 cm. Sand is covered with sand under a pillow of sand. This pillow should be well tampered.

All laid out tracks in the suburban area should be smooth, so the sand in the ditch must be well leveled. If in this area groundwater is close to the surface of the earth, then you should think about the drainage system. For this, gravel is stacked in the ditch, and sand is already covered from above.

When laying a stone tile, it is necessary to tap it from above with a wooden hammer so that the edges do not protrude one above the other. You should also worry about the slope of the path. This is done so that during the rain or melting snow the water immediately runs off, and does not linger on the path. Small slopes are best done on both sides, not in one direction.

This manufacture of garden paths can be mastered by every man, and there is nothing complicated in this. But you should know one more rule: the tiles must be laid in such a way that it is 2-3 cm higher than the ground level. Such a laying of the garden path will not only allow rainwater to flow quickly to the sides, but it will also be convenient to walk when snow melts.
