Sheets are laid on a specially prepared base consisting of a crate and rafters. It is constructed from different types of wood. The rafters are mainly equipped with a beam of wood with a cross section of 4 by 15 centimeters, a crate - 3.5-4.5 centimeters.
All wooden materials are carefully selected before use. Their sides are sharpened, they are given an impeccably even surface. Initially, for the construction of the rafter installation, all building materials are stored in a stack, promoting the appearance of the same humidity. Drying is carried out by a natural method, after which the rafters receive a regular bend( the outer bend is called the hump, the inner bend is a chute).

battens The pitch of the rafters must match the parameters of 1-2 meters. This interval is taken with calculating the length of the ridge part. The rafter structure is created from two boards according to a special scheme: they are connected under the chosen angle, its degree is determined by the type of the roof, and fixed by the bolt. For the full convenience of fastening the rafter from the edging bar, a template model is created, serving as an example for forming the correct angle of inclination.
Slate has asbestos cement components. For it, a crate must be created with a minimum cross-section of the bar, capable of bearing the required load. The lowest parameters of the bar are 3.5 centimeters. This bar is best not to use. Too much cross-section is also undesirable, it will lead to pressure on the system and can be deformed from the influence of moisture.

The cladding should not have frequent steps. Slate sheet is able to withstand its weight and not sag. The standard sheet size is 175 by 125 centimeters. An acceptable step for him can be 70 centimeters. Placement can be on three support parts.
