How do heating ovens with a water circuit work?

In furnaces with a water circuit, the heat exchanger is built into the chimney or chimney duct. Some models are able to function in the hot steam circulation mode, which is not available in the standard hot water circulation system. These furnaces are made of cast iron or boiler steel, which is designed for stable operation under high steam pressure. They are used both as the main source of space heating, and as additional equipment.

A heat exchanger is located inside the appliance. The heated gases pass through the channels of the heating tank and transfer heat to the water. At once several reservoirs can be used in the design, which significantly increase the efficiency. One tank heats the water, the second strengthens the heating to steam. To warm up the steam was as efficient as possible, you need to get the highest temperature indicators. In this regard, it is recommended for the boiler to allocate a separate room.

Note! This does not apply to the beautiful wood stoves that are designed for installation in the main room.

Should I choose them?

The stove with water heating, like any other device, has its drawbacks and advantages. To decide if it suits you, these factors must be taken into account. Let's consider more and more in detail.

Advantages:

  • High performance. Such furnaces are capable of heating rooms and houses with a large area of quality;
  • Affordable price. This equipment is much cheaper than other heating devices( less cost only boilers);
  • Fuel availability. A furnace with water heating can work on coal, peat, coke or wood;
  • There is no need to pay for electricity. The system is based on the principles of natural circulation, so it does not need electricity.

Also, these heating devices have drawbacks, which need to be taken into account when buying:

  • Low efficiency. Manufacturers of such furnaces assure that the efficiency reaches 80 percent, but experts say that these figures are significantly overestimated. A furnace with a water circuit can not be compared in efficiency with gas and diesel boilers;
  • Manual control. All devices that operate on solid fuel have a common disadvantage: there is no way to set up an automatic fuel supply and conduct a normal control of its operation.

Note! Despite its shortcomings, the furnace with a water circuit is widely used, due to its cheapness and unpretentiousness.

Types of furnaces

Furnaces for home with water heating are divided into two types: aimed at heating large rooms and aimed at heating large amounts of water. The heating devices are arranged so that 90 percent of the energy is directed to this task, and only 10 percent are used for heating. The heated water is supplied to the heating system or to the storage tank. Another type of furnace is aimed at heating the housing. These models have special tanks for wood pellets.

In addition, furnaces with a water circuit have differences in appearance. Models are cheaper to have a hob and are used for installation in the kitchen, as they both warm up and allow cooking food. More expensive models are fireplace stoves. They have a cast-iron plate and various decorative ornaments.

Note! The most interesting option is a stove with a refractory glass door, through which you can see how the flames burn.
