Process of manufacturing from wood of a chair for a bar rack

1. With the help of electric jigsaw, a circle of diameter 360 mm is cut from the wood massif, which will serve as the upper surface of the bar stool. 2. The seat can be made square from one wide ridge or from two to three boards with a width of 120 mm. When gluing, joinery glue or furniture PVA is used.
3. The legs are made from a bar section of 50x50 mm. The electric plane of the workpiece is stretched along the entire length with a small cut. So that the cross-section at the bottom of the legs was 2.5x2.5 cm, and in the upper part, attached to the seat, was as thick as possible.
4. For a bar stool, four footsteps are required. They further strengthen the design of the chair and serve as a support for the feet. A bar with a cross section of 2.5x2.5 cm is extruded and a spike is filed in the end parts. In the legs at a height of about 25 - 30 cm from the floor hollows out a nest under the spike. The footsteps are inserted into the nests on the glue and fixed with twine.

Assembly of wooden bar stool

3. Carefully polished, wooden chair for bar counter is covered with stain and varnish. For a more aesthetic appearance, the coating is done in two to three layers. After the first and second opening, the surface is treated with fine sandpaper. After the third - it is polished with felt tampon.

Sometimes on the frame-based chair for the bar stand small backrests are mounted and even the armrests. The seat is made soft or semi-soft. As a filler, furniture foam or batting is used. Since bar stools will be used in places where you eat, pay attention to the quality and practicality of the upholstery. The skin, leatherette, barracks or other upholstery is suitable.

1. A thin layer of glue is applied around the perimeter of the seat and from the back of the seat. Used BF-88 glue or furniture PVA.The adhesive is applied to the edges of the foam pad and to the edge of the pattern of the upholstery material.
2. After giving a few minutes to glue the glue, the gasket tightly presses against the seat and is tightly covered with an upholstery fabric. From the inside, first at the corners, and then along the entire perimeter, the upholstery is fixed with a furniture stapler. The seat is attached lastly after the varnish is applied.
3. Semicircular support parts and intermediate baluster for the backrest can be ordered in the carpentry workshop. To produce them, you will need turning and milling machines. The details are attached to glue and dowels.
