A banquet from an old table

Such a banquet with your own hands is simple and quick enough. This will require the presence of some materials:

1. Foam 5-6 cm thick
2. Thick cotton wool.
3. Plywood sheet 1.5 cm thick
4. Aerosol adhesive.
5. Cloth for plating.
6. Building stapler( better electric).
7. Grinding machine.
8. Serrated knife, hammer, screwdriver. Primer, paint.

Work stages:

• In order to modernize the old coffee table and turn it into a new banquet, first unscrew the fixing screws and remove the top cover from it. Do this as follows.

• Now we turn to the processing of the upper part of the future banquet. To do this, take a sheet of plywood with a thickness of 1.5 cm and attach to it a plate of foam rubber with a thickness of 5-6 cm. The dimensions of the foam rubber sheet in width should be 1-2 cm larger than that of plywood. Cut pieces of material of the desired size with a serrated knife.
• Cut the wool layer. It should be made 5-6 cm longer and wider than the foam rubber layer. This is necessary in order to be able to wrap the remaining edges of the material with a countertop.
• Cut the sheathing fabric. The dimensions of the material should be 5-6 cm more so that it is possible to wrap the edges of the sheet of plywood and foam rubber.
• We fasten all the layers of the upper part of the bench with each other. Initially, there is a plywood, we put foam rubber on it, then cotton wool. Then we wrap everything up with a lining cloth. All parts are fastened together with an aerosol adhesive. Then allow the layers of material to dry for a while.

• All the parts of the construction should be tightly covered with the lining fabric. Then fix the material on the back of the table with the help of construction staples. Particular care should be taken when processing the corners of the structure. To make them straight and straight for fixing the fabric, use 2-3 staples at each angle.
• Now go to the processing of the bottom of the bedside benches. To do this, we carefully grind an old coffee table without a countertop. To do this, use a hand grinder with a grain size of 120 and a sheet of sandpaper. Properly grind both the legs and the side surfaces of the structure.
• Next, the bottom of the ground frame should be primed. This will require any water-based primer. Then let the mixture dry thoroughly.
• Then we paint the frame. You can use an aerosol paint of any color. That the coating was monochrome and uniform, apply the paint in 2-3 layers. That's all, the bedroom racket is ready.

How to make a banquet from the materials

For this we need:

1. Plywood bricks for the construction of the lower part of the structure - 6-8 pcs.
2. Sheet of plywood( MDF) with a thickness of 6-7 cm.
3. Foam rubber.
4. Building stapler( better electric).
5. Wadding.
6. Drill.
7. Wood screws( size 3 cm).
8. Adhesive.
9. Hammer, screwdriver.
10. Upholstered buttons. Needles and thread.
11. Cloth for plating.

Work stages:

• Cut the MDF sheet to the desired size of the banquet( its upper part).Next, with a pencil, we mark the places where the screws will be placed( usually 8-10 marks are required).After this, on the markings made, drill holes with a drill. We fix the block from above with cement-contact.
• On top of the MDF sheet, fix the foam layer. The material can be bought at any economic or construction store. From above put a layer of cotton wool( as described in the first way of assembling a banquet).We fix it to the base with a furniture stapler. Gently trim the excess.
• Apply a layer of fabric to the layer of cotton. If there is a picture on it, then before cutting the material, check that it is exactly in the middle. We fix the fabric with staples from the back side.
• Stretch fabric well at the corners and secure it with 3-4 staples.

• You can decorate the top of the banquet with the help of usual buttons, which can be bought at any hardware store. Also, it is allowed to use conventional buttons for this. So, initially we designate 7 points where buttons( buttons) will be located. Then wrap the buttons( or buttons) with a cloth, sew them to the upholstery. We do this as shown in the photo. • Now we assemble the lower part of the banquet for the living room. To do this, we need a few bars: 6 pieces 2x2 height 40 cm( for the legs), 6 pieces 2x2( for jumpers).Grind, primer and paint available boards. The following tools and materials are required for manufacturing:

1. Board or furniture board with a thickness of 20-26 mm.(If a board is used, pre-treatment of the material, grinding, coating with protective compounds will be required).
2. Assembly tape for furniture.
3. Furniture pins.
4. Foam( or other soft filler).
5. Screws, self-tapping screws( size 3 cm).
6. Drill.
7. Joiner's glue.
8. Electric fret saw.
9. Screwdriver of low power.
10. Hammer, screwdriver.
11. The machine for grinding.

Work stages:

1. The size of the banquet can be absolutely any. Proceeding from this, it is possible to correct the dimensions of building materials( boards, furniture board, wooden bars).Therefore, choosing a suitable place to place the banquet, make its measurements and schematically display the drawing of the future design.
2. The banquet will consist of several cubes, each of which has two side walls, a lid, a bottom and a back wall. Due to the fact that the design does not have frontal walls, the resulting niches can be used as storage cells( clothes, sleeping accessories, etc.).
3. We perform marking on the board( furniture panel) according to the available drawing. Now cut out the corresponding parts of the structure. This requires a jigsaw. Take into account that the top covers of the banquet will be fixed on top of the side walls, and the bottom and the rear panel will be located at the very bottom of the structure. If the product consists of 3 cubes, it will take 6 parts to assemble the side walls, as well as 3 parts for the bottom and back panels. It is worth saying that according to a similar scheme, a banquet with a back is also made.
4. After all the necessary details have been cut, it is necessary to polish them thoroughly. This will require a hand grinder and sandpaper.
5. Next, we connect the resulting parts of the construction with furniture pins. To do this, initially drill holes in the ends of the desired size.
6. After assembling the structure, we process the junctions with joinery glue. In order to ensure a more reliable fixing of the structure, you can fix it at the ends with screws. Now we have collected 3 cube, which will be the frame of the banquet. We collect the received boxes together. For fixing, you can use screws, self-tapping screws.
7. We process the structure with protective compounds, primer and paint. We give time to make the frame dry.
8. Next, we turn to the manufacture of the upper part of the product. The seat can be covered with an old mattress, cut to size. In addition, foam rubber can be used for this purpose. For the chosen filler, you need to sew a protective cover.
9. After that, we fasten all parts of the product into a single structure. To do this, you can use construction staples. Now our bake-rack is ready for use.
