How to make a fireplace from plasterboard - we will try to build with our own hands
Discussing how to make a fireplace with own hands from drywall , we can not emphasize that this type of installation does not differ from the generally accepted technology of work with this kind of material. First of all, it is necessary to mark the place where the fireplace is supposed to be installed, and make a base, not afraid of high temperatures, under the electric heating element. It can be made in the form of a concrete screed or lined with fireclay bricks.
It should be borne in mind that the height of the base must be at least 200 mm, and in length and width it should protrude 100 mm from each side of the fireplace.
When discussing how to make a fireplace from plasterboard, much attention is paid to the most efficient use of heat generated by the heater. It is for this purpose that it is necessary to improve the thermal insulation of the adjacent walls, which will significantly reduce heat loss through them.
After these works are completed, it is possible to start making a frame for fastening plasterboard. The guide profiles are securely fixed to the wall and floor, then the rack profiles are screwed to them, then the whole structure is finally assembled. At this stage, power is supplied to the furnace.
The next important thing is the reliable mounting of the furnace in the frame and its connection to the power grid. At the last stage the frame is covered with gypsum plasterboard and is faced with the selected material from above. Here the home is ready, you can try it after the last component of the finishing materials has dried.
