How to make a cart - read the purpose of the work

There are several types of self-propelled trucks: manual, diesel and trucks self-propelled electric. All of them are widely used in conditions that require maneuverability. The trolley does not require specially trained personnel for operation and maintenance.

Such devices differ in carrying capacity, which can reach up to three hundred kilograms, despite the fact that the own weight of the cart will be ten times smaller. The worker only needs to roll the device, maneuvering and keeping balance with the minimum load for the hands.

Electric and diesel carts are driven by an engine. They can also be used as draft force. For example, the self-propelled truck TC-350, standing on a six-wheel four-wheel-drive base, has a high cross-country ability for off-road and snow.

It can be used for plowing, cultivating, harrowing, cleaning snow, transporting sand and earth as a mini tractor. High maneuverability allows it to unfold almost on the spot. Well, this article will tell you how to make a trolley yourself using the example of a manual self-propelled cart.

Cart with your own hands - we will make a frame and chassis

A hand-made home-made cart in shape and size resembles an ordinary garden wheelbarrow, but the difference is that such a device will have four wheels, as well as a tilting body. Production begins with a frame. The frame includes two longitudinal elements equipped with handles connected among themselves by three cross-pieces.

For longitudinal elements, metal corners 1500 mm long can be used, for example, from the frame of an old bed. Between the corners, three cross-pieces are welded in parallel, 280 mm apart from each other. The longitudinal elements are not parallel. Between the handles should be a distance of 700 mm, while in the front part of the frame - 480 mm. Thus, the handles will be located on the width of the shoulders of a man of normal build.

For fixing the axles with wheels, it is necessary to use four kerchiefs made of steel sheet, having the shape of an equilateral triangle with rounded peaks, which are attached to the longitudinal members of the frame. Wheels can be made of cast rubber or pneumatic, which will dampen vibration and facilitate movement through the sand. Handles can be covered with cloth, rubber or wrapped with electrical tape. The chassis and frame are ready.

Self-made self-propelled cart - make body

The trolley also has a body. For the manufacture of the body, it is necessary to use sheet metal and metal corners, which are welded to the frame and serve as a support for the bottom and ends of the body, supported by the chassis. To increase the stiffness of the body along the upper edge of the side sheets with the help of combination pliers and a hammer, a 10 mm edge is bent.

To the front end wall, or more precisely to its lateral corners, it is necessary to fix the two brackets, which serve to tilt the body. For their manufacture it is possible to use a fork of back wheels of an old bicycle. The rigidity of the brackets can be strengthened with the help of screeds coming from corners welded to the bottom of the body.

After this, it is necessary to install the body on the frame and connect the swivel brackets to the axle. For easier body overturning when unloading in the middle of the rear corner, welded to the bottom, you can attach the U-shaped metal handle. Self-propelled truck ready!
