- Re-primer;
- Pasting paper and wallpaper;
- Painting with water-based varnish.
Each of these points is necessary for performance of work qualitatively and for many years. Theoretically, some items can be missed, but, as practice shows, only such a sequence can guarantee a good result.
Primer is applied by applying a drying oil or alkyd penetrating liquid, because the fiber board absorbs moisture very well. If you do not do this, you will need a very large amount of glue to work. Before starting the work, the entire surface is thoroughly cleaned from dust and rubbish and degreased with alcohol. The oil is heated to 50 degrees and applied in one coat. Also at this stage it is necessary to clean all joints of plates, otherwise after application on a surface of wall-paper their footprints can be shown.
Important! Applying a second layer of drying oil is not recommended, since it will dry for a long time, not completely absorbed and will make the surface uneven.
Putty - the basis of success
The putty is able to eliminate drops up to 15 millimeters. After processing, the wall will be smooth and smooth. The filler can be bought as a ready-made mixture or in dry form. The last option must be prepared before starting work. Ready to be sold in buckets and bags of polyethylene. As a rule, these are shrinkage mixtures, which during shrinkage reduce their volume. In this regard, to apply them for a serious equalization of the wall is meaningless, because the layer after drying will give a crack .They are well suited to eliminate small defects and finish alignment.
The wallpaper on the surface is applied after using dry putty mixes. After the mixture has dried, they do not allow the formation of cracks. But this is only possible if the layer thickness is observed. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully read the recommendations of the manufacturer, otherwise the layer will crack as well as the shrinkage mixture. If more thickness is required, several layers are applied.
After puttying and drying it, the surface is re-primed. This will make it smooth and suitable for processing paper or old newspapers. Paper is glued in order for wallpaper to stick to the surface better and more reliably. Putty and the subsequent priming should make a stub smooth, with smeared slots.

After that, the surface is covered with a simple water-based varnish to protect it from external influences.
Important! Wallpaper after pasting should dry in a tightly closed room, so that there is no draft and movement of air. Otherwise, they will become unstuck and inflate.
