Work procedure
Due to the fact that all work related to the overturning of gas pipes are especially dangerous, their transfer should be carried out only as a last resort and by qualified specialists. It will also be necessary to issue permits for such work.
What are the reasons that precede the change in the design of the gas pipeline:
- The location of the pipes in the site, which interferes with construction or other types of work, is incorrect. According to the current legislation, construction of residential houses in the immediate vicinity of the main gas pipeline is prohibited. In this connection, there is a need to coordinate with the public services the permitted distance from the gas pipes to the buildings.
- Finding in the territory of a gas system belonging not to you, but to consumers from neighboring landed estates. Unfortunately, such cases are not uncommon, therefore, when buying private land, make sure to discuss this issue with the owner or seek legal advice.
- Connection of additional consumers of a combustible substance, for example, columns or plates in utility rooms.
First of all, you need to apply to the gorgaz with documents confirming the ownership of the land, as well as the plan of the site and all buildings on it. The full list of documents will be provided by the gas service itself.
The next stage will be the drawing up of a standard project, which is produced by a project organization that has a license to conduct and sign this type of documents.
Sequence of transfer of gas pipes
An essential condition for the transfer of gas pipes is a strict sequence of actions:

- The pipeline is purged to remove the accumulated gas;
- With the help of a grinder or a hacksaw for a metal, a piece of pipe is cut off, in which there is no need;
- After dismantling, it is possible to begin the insertion of a new branch. Connection of joints of metal pipes is made by welding, and flexible hose - by means of connecting fittings;
- Upon completion of installation, the tightness of all structures is checked with soapy foam. It is strictly forbidden to carry out a check with a lighted match or lighter!

The installation of a gas system under the ground requires special attention due to the complexity and danger of carrying out this type of work. At the same time, it has many positive aspects, such as protection from mechanical damages and environmental influences.
Features of installation of an underground gas pipeline:
- The trench must be of such depth that the distance from the pipe to the top is 0.5-1 m, depending on its location;
- Be sure to clean the bottom of the ditch from debris;
- To ensure the reliability of the base, the bottom is covered with sand.
As a material, use low pressure polyethylene pipes having a high density, resistant to corrosion and do not enter into chemical reactions with other substances. To the merits can also be attributed resistance to temperature changes.
